Jack Hamilton easily played his best game but he is a Dykes of maybe 5 years ago really raw and has a lot to learn.

Has to be more aggressive for me he does not put himself about enough .

We really need midfield players Paton Kidd McCarthy and now Lyon are not good enough looks like AJ had signed quantity rather than quality.

Paton has zero pace, Kidd doesn't add much to the mix. I think Lyon, the jury is still out but, aye, I think we've signed quantity over quality.

I would say we were decent in defence and up front, if those concerned play as well as they can. Our midfield is shocking! Todd has been the biggest miss for me plus Harkins when he could be bothered. Absolutely no creativity in the middle of the park and it’s no wonder Sir Stephen is getting frustrated!

It’s only the middle of September and we have a six pointer already with Morton this Saturday. I don’t think they are much better than us tbh. Still be there shouting us on though.

Aye beyond Murray, there's no creativity in the middle of the park. Paton is absolutely guff, Prybus seems a trier but still not convinced and others seem all a bit, at best, meh.

  3. Below is the team that lined up against Ross County on 15 September 2018. I was wondering where we've regressed.

    Martin
    Mercer
    Doyle
    Semple
    Marshall
    Stirling
    Jacobs
    Todd
    Harkins
    Dobbie
    Dykes

Obviously a few players remain. Whilst jury is out on McCrorie still, where Martin ended up when he left indicates the level he was at. Think Marshall is a much better left back than Holt. Our midfield is pish - I think Jacobs is better than Kidd. Think Dobbie is missing Dykes this year.

Lots of over reaction tonight. Didn't see the match today  but previous matches didn't think we played that bad. Prob a bad day at the office. It was always going to be a tough season and a long way to go. Maybe the draw at arbroath wasn't that bad. There will be good days again, believe.

Don't think it's an overreaction when you don't have a shot on target at home to Alloa.

  5. That was poor today.

Can't really recall us having a shot on target. Once Prybus went off, that midfield looks rank. Paton looks wildly unfit as does Kidd.

Not a clue what Holt did to get man of the match. El Bakhtaoui was I thought our best player and nearly grabbed an equiliser at the end.

Need to get finger out soon.

May have a look tomorrow. I tried to call. Kinda glad it rang out - £100 saved.
Anyone know, and it's a long shot, if the club shop has any of last year's away tops left? Hoping so cause it's absolutely terrific.

Good luck. Well worth the money the smartest Qos top i have ever owned and there have been some belters.

Aye it's absolutely terrific. Not remotely sold on this year's away top.

Do we know if its definitely a hamstring and do any of us really know how long he is out for. Putting a positive spin on today we scored three goals with out him. Did we do this at any point of last season without him. Also defensively it looks like Alan Martin wasn't the only problem we had.

And if that had been a league game, a point away from home isn't a bad result at all (continuing your positive vibe)

Huge blow that Dobbie is out for 6 weeks ..

At the other end we are still giving away cheap goals how a defender can't mark someone at a corner I just don't no and we just give away pens.

We are a poor team who has now lost its best player unless AJ can somehow get at least 3 quality signing in then we are in deep trouble before before we even start the league .

Strange for me to say but I am very worried about Queens this season

Difficult not to agree with this.

Thats an auto generated tweet from a 3rd party site. It just appears, no one has to do anything.

Aye but you can turn them off...

There isnt always someone available to attend the game and provide live coverage

Do we  not take a media officer with them to all games?

Commercial manager on holiday when the season has already started???

Shocking if true, that is the best time to get businesses to get involved in the club try and big the club up. I know people are entitled to holidays but surely common sense from the club would tell him to have a break as soon as the season.

Queens are miles behind every club on all aspects even social media. I know we rely on volunteers but there should be a piece on the website atleast once a week from the manager.

About programmes I buy a programme every home and away queens game and ours aren’t the best. A player interview or something would be a start, I enjoyed the fans stories last season and I hope they continue as me and my grandson liked reading them before the game started it was interesting seeing how different people got supporting our club.

The social media is particularly poor. Stuff like this :

I've also never understood how come some games have no live coverage. I've always wondered why...

The programme is generic in the main but it does have various pages which are printed for each home game which has latest league updates etc.

just make one of those pages a page for a player feature every home game !!!

Or even an interview with an ex player. I'd be right into that sorta content.

  12. 19 hours ago, SueSue said:

Yes I do think that should happen.

i also think there should be more features in the programme regards the players. Interviews, their likes etc etc.

There is very little interaction with supporters and the general public.

get some first team players doing questions and answers at schools. Handing out free tickets to games. Have open training sessions at Palmerston and invite schools and any public to come along. Even if it is a Sunday.

Number every programme and the winning number gets a free home or away shirt. It may increase programme sales.

Just things to bring a new young team and supporters closer together.

Maybe player interviews which go on the club website in build up to games.l rather than always after a game.

even if it is done on a phone and then written into a feature on the club website.

Please don’t shout me down. I know it’s easy to suggest it and a whole lot harder to do......

there is definitely a closer bond between the players and the 300/400/500 away supporters.

we need to have that bond with possible 2000 home support also.

Some good suggestions for content, particularly for programme and social. Be great to see a Q&A session with a player once a week. Wouldn't be hard to do and would be great content - most clubs seem to do it.

The programme is pretty meh. I get that programmes are a dying thing, sadly, but it's quite threadbare and generic. I get its done on a budget and the club won't have resources to really make it an all singing, all dancing affair but even still...
