What position does he play?
Right back. Decent going forward so would make a good wing back.

Any of the three sides are good enough to bum most Scotland sides trotted out over the last twenty years senseless.
However this current side has been well moulded over the last couple of years and perhaps came of age fully against Denmark earlier this month. That side, Steve Clark's side WILL sweep these fodder aside if they can reach the same levels again.

Playing in a better league is,and they play on a better league and earn more money than SPL jobbers such as Clarke
You need to stop this nonsense where you're rating players purely on what league they're playing in.
Yes it's an indicator but it's not the be end and end all.
You're peddling pish with it half the time e.g. Kal Naismith and the bloke in Turkey.

Great to see Gilmour doing the business and of course big Grant Hanley on the scoresheet.
If Gilmour carries on like that then not only will Farke look a bit silly but Tuchel will need his own centre mids to play bloody well or Chelsea fans might wonder why he's out on loan as well.
What a player. WHAT A MAN.

Plus we've got #naismithwatch.

Bring back Rab Douglas.
We've been spoilt with Gordon, Marshall and McGregor since the days of Big Rab.

Isn't Jack the closest real option we have if we want a sitting midfielder of the destroyer variety? Breaking up play etc.
As such can see a place in the squad for him though the current 3 look cemented in for me.

Patterson and Ralston are both young.
Both, particularly the former seem to have something going forwards and both are still young enough that they have time to improve significantly defensively and get even better in the opposition half.
Patterson is of course already looking terrific at times going forward and is much younger with a higher ceiling so it's hard to see how we don't quickly end up with Patterson owning the rightback or wingback shirt and perhaps Ralston edging SOD out over time as his backup.
Given the paucity of options in the position for a long time it's good to see a couple of young Scottish lads in the squad, one of whom in Patterson looks set to be very good indeed and has bags of time on his side.
Ralston doesn't need to be world class as long as he keeps developing, keeps working hard and has the right style of play to slot in to the system for Steve Clark when needed then that's a good thing.

I like that Adams and Dykes in isolation give us something very different.
Hard part for Clark is either trying to find a way to make them work together or having the minerals to pick one or the other.
I don't think there can be any doubt though that the set up with Adams and the midfield playing behind him was spot on last night and a cause for optimism. Some of our play, and the sheer pace with which we moved up the pitch was a joy to watch. Made you feel we could turn anyone over countering like that.

Hard to see where McTominay fits in to the starting XI now for me.
There was a time when McGregor was the obvious shout to give way but he's come on massively and really looks the part in there with Gilmour and McGinn. Been impressed with him and wonder if any English sides will be taking a look.
At the back Souttar just stuck his name in there with Hendry, Hanley and I reckon now Cooper as well who are all good enough to be in there with Tierney. And as natural centre backs probably edge McTominay for me.
Good place to be if you've got him on the bench or as a rotation option.

I don't think I've been as excited about a young player. He's going to be marshaling our midfield for a decade and probably more!
I can scarcely imagine what I was doing at age 20 and Billy Gilmour is bestriding the pitch like a mighty colossus dominating vaunted International teams. And he's Scottish.

A clean sheet too. Gordon is an absolute lion of a man. Souttar in to the side and showing he's by far the best in his family.
Adams deserved his goal. Grafts non stop.

Gilmour is some player. And he's still only 20 for fucks sake. 20!

What a performance.

We're going to win the World Cup at a canter. Batter Australia in the final and watch Harry Souttar cry as John lifts the trophy.

Fair play to the lad, will I'm sure be a boost for him to experience being with the squad and know he's in Clark's thoughts.

In fairness your doing more to keep any situation going than myself.
As I've mentioned quite a few times, I've had the guy on ignore for quite some time. Months even.
The guy posts after every post I make i can't see what he says, and I never reply. This is not a two way thing.
So other than completely ignore the poster which I have done. Could you kindly explain what it is you would like me to do.
Fair enough, carry on as you are then.

In that case, James Tavernier must clearly be an Intergalactic Class player. You'd think he'd get a sniff at an occasional England squad then, wouldn't you?
Tavernier is nailed on at rightback for the Milky Way XI when they take on Andromeda Town.

Scotland Centre Backs

Hanley recently looks to have become the centre back we had hoped he would and which we need. Bombscare tendencies banished?
