  1. Am I the only Dee who is hoping we continue to improve next season and finish in the European places?

This laughable pish about finishing 9th is good 🤣🤣

We should be aiming to do what St Mirren has done this season and improve and finish in the European places.

I would like to think that that's what the management team and board will be looking to do next season.

Oh crap this means that Dundee will now be receiving less money for finishing in the bottom 6.

    Gutted 😉🤣

VAR improved my enjoyment of our match yesterday by arriving at the correct decision to overturn the penalty that wasn’t.

VAR gave the wrong decision in the match between us earlier in the season when it incorrectly gave the penalty to Hearts at Dens.

I'm assuming that you refused to celebrate it due to it being the wrong decision.....

Ps, the 7yo Kyle cried itself to sleep and then pissed the bed after Albert Kidd done the damage lol 😂

I like Murray but I don’t think he would score as many for us as he would for Ross County. The goals he scores are usually running through on goal which doesn’t really happen for us. We might change our style of play or formation in the summer.

I’d like us to switch to a 4231 next season and bring in Van Veen who is unable to get into the Kilmarnock team due to the form of the other strikers. He’s powerful whilst being technical and would score many goals given the right opportunities.

Van Veen is a great shout but I didn't mention him as we can't afford him. Just like we couldn't afford Robbie Deas. Kilmarnock are paying these guys more than us to sit on their bench. That's the reality of the situation.

Also Bakayoko is on English league 1 money which means we will have to pay him a lot more than Murray. These are factors which are in play and have to be considered when it comes to picking who to sign.

I genuinely think we will be starting next season with a completely new team. I'm expecting massive changes to our team/squad and it will then be Tony Docs squad. He's still paying for us (sadly) having a clown like McPake as manager who didn't have a clue.

  5. I'm really surprised that fellow Dees are praising Astley. Part of a defence that has conceded 8 (eight) goals in 2 games. Portales has also been terrible the last couple of games ( at least he has a nice song though 😂 )

Out of all the loans I'd only try to get Mellon back on loan for next season and try to permanently sign Boateng.

Other players whose time at Dens should be coming to an end are Kerr, Robertson, Ashcroft, Anderson, Legzdins and Pineda.

Sign up Simon Murray and Bruce Anderson to replace Bakayoko and Robinson. Double the effort and double the goals imo.

Got a feeling we'll be in for Paul Hanlon as well.

    Meh

Potential relegation is a fans biggest dread. Being a Dundee fan I know all about it sadly so i can understand what you are going through right now. The feeling of being relegated is hurting that much that you have to pretend that all is OK,  I'm not bothered, lets build up again etc etc

I'm not going to lie, I want you to get relegated, feck the Tayside Derby ( St Johnstone's biggest game/games of the season, every season) we've got the proper Derby back next season anyway.

    Levein must stay

Oh cmon get real, that was a total outlier. Why would any united fan want to go to an away derby match and watch us be antagonised throughout the whole game knowing our neighbours were gonna relegate us whilst having to watch overpaid Imposters on the pith give absolutely nothing back to our club.

United have been a club since 1909 what you on about! My grandad played for United in the late 50's and been United fans in my family since 1930s so already trumped you there

It's called being a supporter through the good and bad times.  Pretty basic stuff for a genuine fan imo.

There was no Dundee Utd in 1909.

In terms of how Celtic and Rangers impact the race between us and Dundee, the ideal scenario for us would be as follows.

This weekend -Rangers beat Killie and Celtic draw with Hearts.

Next game - Draw between them.

Next games - Rangers beat Dundee and Celtic beat Killie.

Next games - Rangers lose to Hearts and Celtic beat Dundee to win the league.

Final game - champions Celtic turn up smelling like a barman’s tie and still hawf pished.

    Job done. 👍

Job is a botch job sadly.  Got the fixture dates mixed up and Dundee don't play Celtic again

Apart from that it's a good effort...

Are you only including players who were great players for Dundee or are you including has-beens who helped you go bust?

Assuming the former, I'll give you Dave Mackay, Alan Gilzean and Gordon Strachan. The rest of the team would be Buddies. Actually thinking about it, Frank McAvennie or Dougie Somner would probably oust Gilzean for the striker role.

I know you were joking about Yardley and I know he scored a lot of goals for us, but if I was to name the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best saints teams of all time, sadly the big man would not feature in any of them.

    This is brilliant 😂

Dave Mackay wouldn't even be in the top 200 Dundee players never mind a dual team.

Gordon Strachan wouldn't get anywhere near the team too.

As for comparing Gilzean to McAvennie 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I liked McAvennie but Gilzean was on a different level to him. As was Billy Steel, John Duncan, Tommy Coyne and Sofian Moussa...

I'm thinking Billy Stark might be the only Saint to make the squad.

We're bigger than Saints in every way. More trophies, more fans, more European adventures and more administrations.

Robert Thomson of The Sun suggesting that Sky are wanting the SPFL to pay the £100k bill of them sending TV crews to our twice postponed Rangers game and the SPFL plan on passing this onto us tomorrow in the disciplinary meeting.

Must be true if it's in the Sun lol 😂

In all seriousness,  its never going to happen and if it did ( it won't) then I'd hope the club would fight back.  Plenty of things the club could do to hit back at Sky. For example next time there is a live game on Sky and the fire alarm gets set off then evacuate the stadium and cancel the game. Let's see how Sky react to that....

Why is that weird? It's still in our own hands and if we do finish second bottom then it will have been deserved. Wanting The Rangers to fail isn't that weird either, at least for the rest of us but I know you boys and the hearts might think differently.

OK sure, i believe you when you say you wanted Ross County to win and leave them 1 point behind them 😂😂

Just had a look at the last couple of pages and there's a an awfy lot of Dees posting. Here was me thinking they didn't care....very weird behaviour lads.

It is very weird behaviour.  In fact it's nearly as weird as pretending you were supporting your main rivals for relegation yesterday......

There is an element of deja vu around this fixture.

If I am not mistaken, Dundee have twice clinched 'top six' at our place.

One of the times, I think Caniggia was among the scorers, and the Dees celebrated like they'd just won the Champions League. That may sound snide, but it's not meant to, those were bizarre and exciting times at Dens.

The other game was more infamous in the Granite City for the planned walkout in protest at the shambles the club was at that time on and off the park peaking with Pele P's car boot exit.  In the event a few folk did exit stage left around 4.30 and got absolute dogs' abuse from others for doing so.

I always found that rather strange, considering there were only around 7K home fans in the ground - and if people cared enough to turn up at the ground for a dead rubber (for the home side) and then walk out in protest, then they clearly cared about the club.

As for tomorrow, I think it suited Dundee to have their midweeker called off, as the three points they need are clearly much more attainable here, then they would have been against Sevco. Coming off a midweeker on a heavy pitch wouldn't have helped.

We still need a result or two to ensure we avoid the abyss and a sudden u-turn from a nordic management team that don't fancy trips to Airdrie and Greenock next season.  One thing is for sure, we will need to play a lot better than we did at Dens recently, and also this time the borderline VAR call that seems to happen in every one of our fixtures goes for us.

You've got the game with Caniggia mixed up. He scored on his debut in Sep/Oct. We did celebrate like mad 😁😁
