  1. If Arbroath play like that all season they should have no bother in staying up.

Problem is we have played like that most of our games this season and have only picked up 2 points and if we dont start putting the ball in the net we will not stay up .

  2. Harsh on Arbroath to lose 3-1 we were well on top the second half good goal from Hilson and then we looked the more likely to score the next goal penalty decision was a joke the ball hits Littles hand and to give a yellow is a complete nonsense.Great to see Whatley back .Last 4 games at home we have been the better team for most of the 90 minutes but we just dont have enough threat in front of goal which has been a big problem now for 2 seasons

  3. I know I sound like a broken record here, but there's been f**k all said about this weeks game on here and right now there appears to be 86 paying viewers for this game. At 10 quid a head, split, and obviously minus costs, it speaks for itself. Surely the counter is wrong?! Even I can't believe that could be right......
There will be plenty of people who post on here who obviously have decided against paying to watch todays game. I'd be interesting to know if there is consistently one reason for this, or if it's just the general shiteness of the whole 'experience'?
Would people who haven't bothered with today have done so if the streaming was better/ have been put off by experiences so far? Or is it just a case of it not being the same and lack of interest regardless of how good/ bad streaming was?
Could it have anything to do with season ticket holders having to pay for this stream
  4. No disrespect to Craigen , but today confirmed what I said on Tuesday night , he is not a full back , I know he played there for Dunfermline , but not good enough , even when moved forward in second half contributed nothing resulting in him being taken off , some people on here saying he is class , well I have yet to see it. Don't understand why Dick would start with the back 4 that lost the 2 goals to Ross County . Hopefully just a bad day for us , but gonna be hard to get anything from the Hearts game .For me if we lose a defender for any reason the first and best player test step in is Goldie , never let's is down .

  5. No matter the quality of the camera work I was just happy to be watching the boys at Gayfield , after a shaky start thought we did very well to come back and go in at half time 2-1 up , the first half hour in the second half I thought Montrose were on top , but not for the first time we were very strong defensively and after the final three subs came on for us we looked much stronger . Thought Swankie was excellent and what a terrific goal from O'Brien, been disappointed in what I've seen of Doolan so far , hopefully he will improve , overall so far so good , a much harder test next Tuesday and will give us a better idea as to how ready we are for the league campaign I think .

  6. Mate. Fans always see things from your own teams perspective.

Our fans have definitely done the same this season. We seem an overly sensitive bunch sometimes to be honest.

I'm not having a dig at you guys in particular , yous have been great since turn of the year , so rather than look at yesterday's result being down to you lot being pish , it would be good to hear Arbroath getting some credit , I think we've done enough this season that teams we are up against should start appreciating getting any sort of result against us as a good result ??
  7. There ain't half some pish on this thread, wasn't the best of games today , but never has been against Morton , a hard team to beat , we've struggled against them this season . What I am getting really pissed of with is the lack of credit Arbroath are being given , it seems that every team we get any kind of result against have been poor according to their own fans , maybe Arbroath are a really good fuckin team and the rest of the league should start thinking they've done well to get anything from us , and we , Arbroath , should start being pissed off at dropping points to the likes of Morton and Dunfermline ??

  8. 88 in a row in league, 90 if you include the play-offs in 2017/2018
Total - 193 League Starts / 6 subs appearances / 2 League Play Off Spots
    2019/2020 - 24/24
    2018/2019  - 36/36
    2017/2018 - 35  (33 starts / 2 subs)  and  2/2 play off places.
Game 6 - Came on as sub
    Game 7 - Unused sub
Game 8 - Came on as sub
Game 9 - Started, and not missed a game since, so 88 (90 if you include league play off) in a row.
    2016/2017 - 34/36
    2015/2016 - 33/36
    2014/2015 - 27 (25 Start / 2 subs) / 36
    2013/2014 - 10 (8 Starts / 2 subs) 36
    Great info
  9. Part time Arbroath 3 Full time Inverness 0 , Full time Partick 1 Part time Arbroath 3 , Full time Q.O.S. 0 Part time Arbroath 2 Full time Dundee Utd 0 Arbroath 1 , only some of our results against Full time teams , wake up and smell the coffee son !

Lol wot? Of course we should. We’re a much bigger club and it’s also full time v part time. However that’s not to say we will and I would take a draw.
  10. A lot of shite on this thread from absolute arses... if anyone is interested in discussing the game , here goes , an excellent performance by Arbroath today against a Caley Thistle side which are deservedly sitting 2nd in the league , we have arguably ?? the best defence in this league , if we could score more we would easily be challenging for play off place , which really is achievable if we believe, my opinion for what it's worth is that Dick has to stick to what he does best for results back 4 please , we could debate forever , but heres where my 11 comes from to get us to play offs , at worst survive , either keeper , ones as good as the other , back 4, JT Ricky Tob Hammy picks itself ,Midfield and attack comes from, Linn Whatley Miko Stewart Gold Donnelly and McKenna, all Dick has to do is pick the right formation and we will compete against any team in this league , let's add to our history .

  11. Arbroath were very poor today but still got a deserved draw in end, 100% stonewall penalty on Gold before the one that was given,
Felt Dick got the starting line up wrong, was no way a game for Murphy who has struggled badly lately, was always gonna be a battle,

I don't understand why the team is being changed as much as it is , big Thomson being injured and Miko likewise forces changes , but Gold being taken out of midfield for Murphy is a joke , he's without a doubt been a standout in midfield this season and was sorely missed there today , Stewart was man of the match against Caley 2 weeks ago and is dropped today makes no sense , ffs Dick decide where McKennas best position is and play him there or don't have him in the squad , the best run of results we've had this season ( and previous ) has been with a settled side,.... get it sorted Dick !
  12. Was always going to be a hard game down in Ayrshire , credit to Talbot , a terrific junior side who in my opinion could more than hold their own in SPFL , on the game today , Dick Campbell definitely got his team selection wrong , no way Stirling should have been dropped Gold will always do a job at right back , but no where near as good as Stirling has been past few weeks , and Gold was so missed in midfield where he has been excellent, please explain Dick , if ever there was a game where Doris should have been involved it was this , hopefully the boys get Dick out of jail on Wednesday, but I worry !

  13. David Gold absolutely outstanding effort today, seen him at FT fall to the ground exhausted , love to see his from players giving everything for the club
Agree 100% with this comment, Gold gives his all every time he plays no matter which position he's asked to play , been such a big player for Arbroath past few seasons and doesn't always get the praise that others do .
  14. Another great home win against a good Alloa side who have had some good results themselves so far this season , I thought Whatley and Gold were superb today ( if only they had played on Tuesday night ) easily the best big Luke has played for us , he's getting more confident each week and we are maybe beginning to see the player the Campbells have been telling us about since January, defensively I thought Hamilton looked out of sorts today , Little and O"brien were solid as usual , Thomson was missed , hopefully he'll be ok for next week , overall a really good team performance and we are showing in my opinion that we really do belong in this division and there is no one we cannot compete with .

  15. A really good game to look forward to , Talbot have been one of the best junior sides around for years and have proven to enjoy their games against senior teams in this tournament, some very good results over the last few seasons , never going to be easy down at their ground and we will have to be at our best , should be a good day out .
