Thanks Preedzy, this one is a nice we 48%, bit more body to it. Nice to tipple away at.

Aye, I enjoyed the Cask Annamh, and used to really enjoy the A'Bunnadh until the price went through the roof.

A wee retirement present from workmates, proof that even though it's an NAS whisky, nothing bad comes out of Aberlour. Really enjoying it.

Enjoy your retirement Hi Hat. I'm partial to Aberlour. Their core bottlings can be a wee bit thin at 40% though.

The pale colour might be a bit off putting for some,  but this is an absolutely fantastic whisky. Would recommend.

Balblair is a great wee distillery. Did the tour there a few years back, bottled my own from a 13yo single cask. Lovely stuff, pricey though.

Anything by Ben Nevis is worth your money. If you haven't don't Càrn Mòr Dearg yet it would be a perfect excuse for a bottle of their Coire Leis.

Anyone got views on Loch Lomond. I wrote them off after some rank SMWS bottlings but the standard 10yo is agreeing with me. Touch sweet but very nice

I've never even had a mediocre Ben Nevis, never mind a poor one. Exceptional quality.

I've only ever tried the core Loch Lomond 10 and 12. Nothing objectionable, but would like to have a go at an indie bottling and a higher abv to see what it's really about.

  6. In 2004 I took a pay cut from £40,000 from an engineering job I hated ,to a £17,000 related job while finishing a different degree part-time evenings.

Started on £32,000 3 years later and have loved my new career ever since. Was tough for those 3 years (kids in Primary) but worth it in the end.

I've had a couple of these parking charges.  Totally ignored the letters.  One of them they'd stopped sending me letters for months but they must have been having an end of year drive and I suddenly got another one out of the blue one December.  Ignored that and didn't hear anything more about it.

The debt recovery letters you get are basically from the same office/people as the parking company.  The parking company will have another company that they call debt recovery.  it's all part of the scare tactics.

Exactly, it's all part of the game their playing. Just ignore them, OP.

Letter now from Debt Recovery company. What can they do?-

    Nothing.

They just kid on they've passed it to them It's all part of the same schmuck. Totally ignore them, they go away eventually.

They send these out hoping for a % return, that someone will get scared into paying. Ignore, ignore, ignore

Best game i remember against Morton was at Gayfield in 1993 in the Scottish Cup, Morton were a league above us but we hammered them that day with Stuart Sorbie getting a hat-trick with our striker Kenny MacDonald having a superb game without scoring, always remember a big pitch invasion at the end of the game and a bit of fisticuffs with the away fans.

Also remember we used to play Morton fans in an arranged game of football pre-match out at the Vicky Park back in the day, sure one of their famous fans who used to travel up from England used to arrange it between both clubs supporters clubs.

Simple change for me, Craigen into centre-mid to replace the superb injured Low and Bobby into the starting XI, also hope Paterson gets a chance as well.

    C'MON THE RED LICHTIES, 36-0.

I remember it, decent Morton support at the game but Arbroath bossed it.

If I recall correctly you had a decent run in the cup, Danny McGrain was manager and you were singing a catchy wee version of Stairway to Heaven.

    There's a man over there

On his chin there is hair

And he's climbing the Stairway to Hampden

Or words to that effect, Danny McGrain's beardy army. Not sure about the fisticuffs, might have been the odd pleasantry exchanged though.
