Fermer? He was michty braw at co-commentating

He was objectively awful. The commentary teams are obviously supporters of the home side but even a touch of professionalism isn't too much to ask. They certainly shouldn't be shouting at their players and the officials during the game which is what he did in our game.

He kept shouting "Shoot" every few minutes, I thought it was a tourettey ticking type thing. Michty braw.

Great effort and if you keep up that level of support, you should be capable of remaining the best PT team in the country for a wee while. That must be (at least) similar numbers to those that FT teams like Ayr, Morton and QoS get.

If you end up near the guy that was co-commentator last season, that would be enough entertainment to justify buying a season ticket anyway!

Chances are it's not the timer itself. More likely it's not draining the water efficiently enough. Have you checked for coins/fluff/tissues in the wee front filter at the bottom going to the sump hose?.

    Cheers. I'll check that.

As per Coprolite's reply, put a towel down and a pyrex dish/shallow bowl. Once you take the stopper out the wee hose it'll have a fair bit of water in it

Does anyone else have a washing machine with a completely mental timer?

We thought that would be a great wee addition - but the fucking thing is nowhere near accurate. It says 1 hr 40 mins and 2 hours later the display says there's 18 minutes to go. It stays on that for a good 4 or 5 minutes, before eventually crawling down.

We were waiting on it finishing today before going out and it genuinely had me shouting like a lunatic.

Won a bottle on SWA last night.

PX finished Single Cask Dalmore (AD Rattray)

Was only £50, which feels like a decent price and will be interesting to try an Indy from Dalmore.

    That sounds good.

I had a 13yo indy cask strength bottling from Whiskybroker. Non-chill filtered and no added colouring. Much more interesting than their core range, although it was a little bit too sweet to have more than one or two at a time.

Stolen from twitter because everyone there is wrong.

This is the correct boundary of the central belt. (Based on accents and potential for commuting to Glasgow it arguably extends down the west coast as far as Ballantrae.)

Anyone suggesting Stirling or (inhales) Fife as part of the central belt needs to be sectioned.

Dumbarton's not in the Central Belt, who knew eh?

I've driven through Greenock a couple of times, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the architecture. :unsure2:

The drive through Greenock West and into Gourock reminds me in architectural style of the drive through Newington, South Clerk Street and out to Cameron Toll (minus the river views).

I have had issue with my nose for years.

The only thing that works is Otravine spray which I have to use multiple times a day or else my nose gets blocked (or I use it to unblock my nose).

Been at the GP about it before and they did give me a spray but it did f**k all. Went back a year or so later and he referred me to ENT at Ninewells. Saw an ENT doctor in the hospital and they stuck a camera up my nose but said they couldn't see anything.

So I'm stuck using the Otravine spray. I spend hundreds on it every year because it's the only thing that works.

They won't see anything unless it's infected at that moment in time. Beclometasone to keep it at bay. If it's acute, betamethasone drops will get it shifted (Betnesol). Speak to your GP, the over the counter stuff is useless.

I've had a quick Google and a read of the NHS site and I worryingly have most of the symptoms for both an over and under active thyroid!

Might have to make an appointment with the GP.

Sinus problems, pound to a penny. Sterimar nasal spray for irrigation and a steroidy type nasal spray from your GP

    Both are still dead.

I live alone in a 5 bed detached house 1.7 acres and  two trees that are taller than the chimney.

I'm hopefully Jane will be moving during the first third of 2021.   She works at Morrisons.

    Sure Jose, sure sure sure

What are all those single socks doing behind your bed, no wonder you mum couldn't get them all paired up.

TBH that's just small town mentality, from a place where affording a roll from the baker's a rare treat.

The sort of place where you can buy a house for less than the average Perthshire monthly wage.   https://www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/18918152.scotlands-cheapest-property-sale/

That's me booked up for Moldova in November where I can properly answer the Moldova V Inverclyde conundrum.

No need to travel all the way there to answer the conundrum, it can be done right here on P&B.

Answer: we both think you're a cockwomble.

Id actually bought the single purchase at 55 and didnt clock the subscribe & save. Is that an anomaly? It almost always just shows the same price for both.

Cancel the purchase and buy it again.

If you click on subscribe it gives you a one off 10% discount. If you added another 4 items it gives 15% discount, but only for future purchases (not the one you're buying)

Sometimes items only give you a discount if you're subscribing to 5 in total. That's the anomaly you'll have seen.

Then just cancel the subscription once the bottle ships for £50

Tried a Dutch whisky a couple of weeks ago which I was pleasantly surprised with, Millstone Peated PX Finish. Was in a bar in Rotterdam called Café De Ouwehoer (literally translated as The Old Whorehouse). Good menu and plenty of malts (like Ardbeg 10yo) starting at EUR 3.50 which was an even better surprise! A Grouse was EUR 4.00 though...

On another topic, are smaller bottles of malts a "thing" (talking 100ml to 250ish ml)? I'd like to get a mix of types but not wanting to shell out on normal sized bottles at the moment. I've had a look but doesn't seem to be much of a market.

The 'taster pack' bottles tend to be from the same distillery family and as mentioned, is a relatively expensive way to do it.

Master of Malt will do measures of 'packs' or you can select your own samples

Cgars do a monthly subscription if you fancy that

But to be honest, I started by buying the distillers age statements from supermarkets that were discounted to around the £25 mark, and kept my eye out for deal of the day on amazon at around the same price mark, free delivery
