He’s saved your club’s skin so far and you’re still not happy. He’s now perfectly entitled to change his mind which I hope he doesn’t.

Try having a pop at the 30 clubs that voted Yes.

Oh and after just reading today’s statement from our club we’re still looking out for your club. That’s gratitude for you.

Aye cheers. Looks like 31 clubs. Assuming the vote reached the SPFL this time.

I think a few Partick fans might be due Mr Nelms an apology. Unless the Record get another ‘exclusive’.

Why? He should just have stuck to his NO vote. By not doing so he has merely added to the confusion. However if his actions result in a viable reconstruction package for ALL...well done. Kinda difficult to see it at the moment

    Don't think it is tbh.

We're voting on something that doesn't directly impact us. (We're not going up either way). Few shady deals to influence our deciding vote? Devious, but pretty brilliant. If the friendly thing is true, people are highly naive if they think that's what we've settled for. Yet it'll be the only thing disclosed publicly.

That, and we've made pretty much all of Scottish football lose the plot at one point or other and it's a job well done for Nelms IMO.

Aye just what society needs right now. A devious charlatan. Well played Mr Nelms. The good news ( if there is any ) that most Dundee fans are cringing what is being done/not done in their name.

What if we vote 'yes', but get league reconstruction through which would save Partick?

As a thistle fan of course I'd take it. In the interim as we await Nelms coming out his bunker, imagine for a second how you would feel if Dundee were in thistles league position and you were awaiting Gerry Britton to call it....

Got to say if Dundee changed their minds after giving Partick and Inverness their word I'd not be back next season.

Do not buckle Nelms. Get the No vote in first thing tomorrow and get everyone round the table for a fair and decent proposal.

Come of the hour, come of the Derry. Do not let us down.

    Thank you.

    Spot on.

Partick Thistle & Inverness not coming out of this well at all.

Dundee remains to be seen what their motivation is, if they can get reconstruction from it that doesn't even be fit them then you have to respect it.

Yeah. Dundee are the shining light here. All they need to do is declare their original vote. If they back track they will be even more of a laughing stock than they are now. The silence is deafening.

No need for apologies I just don’t get the vitriol from some posts. If he’d been an asshole or caused bother at your club or something I could maybe understand it. I don’t know maybe he was nasty to you,if so then he’s getting it back, fair enough. Coached him when he was a kid. Great kid great attitude.

Well said. Fans can give honest opinions and still do it with a modicum of respect and decency. Especially to our own players.

Our support have lower levels of self-respect and expectation than the Tartan Army.

Re. O’Ware - he’s not a lost cause like McGinty is, but he badly needs to get his finger out. Thus far his contribution to the cause has been a winner against Morton and some quality trolling of their fans.

    Define the self respect bit?

Goes back to Montrose for the rest of the season, but at least we’re building for next years assault on the league one title.

I'm sure we will be ok this year. However I'd accept going down if McCall built a team as good as Ayr were last season. Time to keep our nerve. The question is this for me is our team worse than this time last year when we went on a great run? Jury out perhaps...

    This.

Oliver wasn’t a Jags fan but became one, and invested a fortune of his own earned wealth into us

Lambie wasn’t a Jags fan but became one and became our greatest manager ever

McParland wasn’t a Jags fan but became one after he took us to our greatest moment ever.

Im fine with the narrative being Weir had a soft spot for us and fell in love with us later

What we have now is history being rewritten and it’s disrespectful to Colin Weir, the club and it’s fans

That's well put, but there has been insensitivity on this. Let's rise above it. Those with an anti Low agenda can continue at a more appropriate time. That's real respect.

And I have nothing but respect for him doing that. But let's not rewrite history.

He shared far less than 5% of his and his wife's wealth.

He revolutionised the Youth set up. But did so as a completely different Company separate to the club.

I've not peddled any conspiracy theory. All I've asked for is a bit of history behind his love of the club. Why can no one provide any?

The two points you make are obviously made grudgingly. So 5% not enough for you? Presumably you expected more from a true ( sic ) fan to gain your respect?

On your second point about the youth set up finances being separate from the club. So what? Investment is investment.

Why dont you just accept he was a supporter who to the best of my knowledge did good by us and beyond. No apology required.

I've shown absolutely no lack of respect, I'm merely showing an interest and a want to learn, about our lifelong fan who's legacy we are going to fulfill.

Can you point to anything disrespectful at all in my post?

If not, then I accept your apology.

His point is that instead of being classed as a benefactor who took a liking to our youth set up and decided to help, before falling in love with them then buying us, he’s now being lauded as number one lifelong fan, when no one seems to recall him prior to his win.

He put money in especially to the youth set up which should be lauded but let’s not try to change history and make him into something he wasn’t

Petty squabbling about his degree of support, whether it be financial or emotional is simply disrespectful.  As it happens I was at the 1971 famous win. So what. Doesnt make me a better fan than any supporter. He supported the club. End of.
