Seen certain saints fans saying the tickets should go to "family of the players & STAFF of the club". Wonderful why they want all the staff to get one...?

I said staff, not sure what your point is?

If you need clarity, I said it because I think the staff deserve to get some reward for the work they have put in this past year.  How they use the ticket(s) they get, if they do, is entirely up to them.

    On WAP.

That Taxi for Davidson thread could be enough on its own to get WAP closed down. RG is one of calmer heads. If I had posted some of that nonsense I would have changed my username.  I don’t mind people criticising and not being impressed but that is a huge overreaction and as Radford pointed out some of it is from posters are usually calm heads.f

Why are St Johnstone so good at appointing managers? They hardly ever need to sack a manager, they all leave in their own time. Tommy Wright, one way or another, left because he wanted to. Lomas was scooped up by Millwall, McInnes by Bristol City, Coyle by Burnley. Was John Connolly the last manager they sacked, 16 years ago? Stark was fired, I can't remember what happened with Sandy Clark, was he sacked after a relegation? Sturrock left for Dundee Utd. That takes us all the way back to 1993.

And now Callum Davidson is making history.

Does any club in Scotland have a better hit rate with managers than that?

It’s about having a chairman/board that see the bigger picture.  Also have a look at the names you mentioned, all were young in managerial terms other than Wright who was assistant to Lomas.  The board do their homework and are confident in the work they have done

Seen mention today that Wotherspoon won't be back in training until Friday, think the same for McCann.

Bit of a blow, especially with Wotherspoon who is a major part of how we play, but I think we'll still play him unless he's absolutely fucked. Agree that Bryson will probably be in instead of McCann, depending on what happens with him tonight. If he doesn't start for NI tonight then we should start him.

    McCann is a sub tonight

This isn’t something I’ve looked into in any great detail, so I won’t pretend to be an expert on it.

My initial thoughts are that the relationship between football and domestic violence is likely correlation without causation. I don’t see how football could result in making men more likely to become domestic abusers. I could, however, see why during football matches, particularly Old Firms, the statistics show that there is a rise in domestic violence. I would wager however that this is little to do with the outcome of the match, and more to do with the amount of alcohol consumed.

So following this line of thought, I don’t think targeting football is going to be particularly fruitful. I think a much more effective approach would be tackling our nations awful relationship with alcohol abuse, and the way that alcohol is at the centre of nearly every social event we have.

If someone comes along and tells me “No, you’re wrong, that’s not what the research shows and here’s why” then I’ll hold my hands up and say fair enough. Ultimately, we all have to commit to making this world a better place, and in particular a better place for women. We can all take individual responsibility for this.

I used to work in criminal justice and there is a huge spike after old firm games. It’s such a big spike it’s difficult to argue against it as a causative factor, although as previously stated an abuser will find an excuse no matter what.

There are pissed people in Scotland 365 days a year yet there is a spike after old firm games. I am not saying alcohol isn’t a factor but it’s the only game that has such a huge rise in domestic violence after it

A hard watch for much of the game and the second half about as pushed back as we've been by anyone this season. It is fair to acknowledge it was the third game in six days and injuries limited the manager's ability to rotate things.

Needed the result and we got it but will need to play better next week.

Definitely worth given a mention to Liam Craig who has has a huge week. Exactly the type of guy that's the reason we've had such a prolonged period of success.

Got a couple of weeks off so that will hopefully help any injuries

I've no dog in this fight but his lowest finish was 8th. You only finished 7th in one of the seasons you didn't get top 6.

He finished 8th in 17/18. It doesn't change your point like...a club the size of Saints should be delighted with 8th.

Question, are you “delighted” if Motherwell finish 8th?  I don’t think Saints should be delighted finishing 8th. If we finish 8th I’m happy enough but not delighted.  I think we should always be trying to finish as high as we can. A lot of teams have finished third in recent history and although I wouldn’t necessarily expect that, a European place  is more something I would be delighted with.  Not having a go here, it’s just that being delighted with 8th reminds me of a lot of our fans saying we should be happy with anything after our time in the bottom league, that was over 30 years ago

Honestly I know I'm in the minority here but PPV is my preferred option now, for most games barring the big ones it's just a much much better experience. Don't miss attending at all even to the point of, if it's the only way I can watch I can't see that being a big enough draw to get me back to the stadium.

Basically was a season ticket holder for 35 years up till this year and hardly missed a home game in that time. They do say it's habit forming and I suspect a few have got out of the habit this year.

For your average game I really have no desire to attend and go through all the usual hassles of cold, car park, stewarding etc etc but I do want to watch and pay for the privilege.

I'm just worried that with the lack of desire to really attend right now of PPV is removed o start to drift and Saints will loose my money

I feel like this in a lot of ways.  Can’t be arsed travelling to Perth, although that may be because I’ve hardly travelled in a year, sitting freezing, then travelling back.  I do think attending is a habit. If I think of all the Saints fans that I’ve known over the years that have drifted away, not one said they weren’t coming back. It was more I can’t afford it right now or I have to do such and such but I’ll be coming when I can and I’ll definitely get a season ticket when I can.  Rarely, if ever, seen at games now.

Will I renew? If course but there's going to be many who won't. Our older season ticket supporters or those who just haven't taken to the streaming are prime candidates to think "I'll wait and see what happens".

I saw someone ask previously why people might now renew. I’m self employed and have only been able to work 3 months in the last year.  I would seriously doubt I could justify my season ticket if we aren’t allowed back.  Be difficult enough if we are.

And Jason Leitch’s statements on this change regularly.
