  1. If I recall correctly Rooney left Aberdeen after he received a £3.5k per week offer from Salford who at the time were in the National League. Subsequently moved to Solihull Moors, no doubt on reduced terms, but it would be difficult to imagine Falkirk being able to accommodate his wage demands unless a local businessman was prepared to chip in.
  2. Yes, I'd be happy enough if FSS applied an uplift of say, 5%, every 12 months to my monthly contribution. £10 per month just now automatically increasing to £10.50 per month next year isn't going to have a great impact on me, but the compound effect of several hundred fans increasing contribution by a fixed percentage every year would add up to a few thousand extra shares each year being purchased by FSS.
  3. Did Gary Deans not say at the AGM a couple of seasons back that the club were paying Falkirk Council approx £250k per year as a facilities management fee?
  4. Looks like it, I'm getting this message: This server could not prove that it is bettermeddle.org.uk; its security certificate expired 5 days ago. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. Your computer's clock is currently set to Wednesday, 4 May 2022. Does that look right? If not, you should correct your system's clock and then refresh this page.

  6. Well said, I'm fed up reading about something that never actually happened i.e. the signing. Whether or not the BoD seriously considered offering him a contract is irrelevant because we never signed him. Those continually harping on about Goodwillie signing that never was are either trolls or have an agenda of some sort.
  7. How was his time at Killie viewed by the fans?
  8. Looks like they've added 1000 non attending season ticket holders to the actual crowd to get to that figure.
  9. I found myself counting the crowd today to take my mind off what was being served up on the pitch. Dont know what the 'official' attendance will be announced as but the 'actual' attendance was in the region of 2,200.
  10. Apparently when Kieran Kozary left the club he took his little black book of contacts with him and left no paperwork or any sponsor contact details. Sammy spent the first few days in his new job sitting in the main stand copying down the sponsors phone numbers printed on the advertising hoardings.
  11. When the last few years are set out like that it really does emphasise what a shambles the club has become.
  12. Gentleman, the answer is surely staring us in the face. If Rennie decides to return to the States at the end of the season then Kenny Miller is a shoe in to be appointed as manager with Leigh Griffiths as his assistant. With the Old Firm connection in place we won’t have any problem in recruiting better quality players. The board, for once, deserve great credit for having the foresight in getting all their ducks in a row in readiness for next seasons successful promotion push.
  13. I've heard good reports about Mark Kerr as well re coaching so hopefully some ex-players will consider throwing their hats into the ring.
  14. I've heard that the new Board are giving serious consideration to not appointing a Chairman at all, any decisions taken by the Board will be by a consensus of views. Not sure how many Board members there are but if an odd number it would always mean a decisive vote one way or the other. If an even number resulting in a tied vote then presumably they would discuss until a majority decision is arrive at? For any meetings with SFA etc where the club needs to be represented then a board member would be nominated to attend. Not sure how the above scenario would work in practice - as others have said it would be good to get a statement outlining how they intend to operate.
  15. Can anyone advise if a programme was produced for the Airdrie v Raith third round Scottish Cup match played on Monday 27 January 1997? Thanks
  16. I managed to get a ticket this morning via the link so would be worthwhile trying again for anybody who wants to attend tomorrow nights Q&A.
  17. Does anyone have the stats on George Watson from his time at Ayr United? Signed in season 1987 I believe. Appearances, seasons etc - also who he moved on to when he left Ayr? Thanks
  18. Ticket bought, looking forward to a fantastic night and can't wait to hear some of Stainrod's stories! The 90/91 season, including the 4-3 Scottish Cup replay win over Partick Thistle, is one of the most iconic in the recent history of Falkirk FC and this evening of nostalgia, match clips and player chat deserves all our support. A glimpse of better times and hopefully we can reach that level again in the not too distant future.
  19. Shocking, an absolute disconnect between club and fans that the club don't even seem to be aware of.
  20. Don’t want to say tbh. Hopefully both parties can come to an agreement.
  21. Kingsley is currently back living in Falkirk . His injuries over the last few years and lack of game time coupled with the Covid outbreak have led to a couple of moves falling through. It might be that signing a short term contract, say 6 months?, with Falkirk would work out for both parties. He gets to play football regularly and hopefully proves his injuries are behind him, the club benefit from having a player capable of playing at a much higher level. If something could be worked out and subsequently another club came in for him during the period of the short term contract then I don’t think Falkirk would stand in his way. Also I don’t think money would be an issue in this scenario, he will already be a wealthy young man from his time down South. I’d give it a 25% chance of happening, fingers crossed.
