Mate this was years ago, Ian is a modern manager, with fresh ideas, he will get a big job and prove how stupid Girvan were to sack him.

Why would peter being back, bring back the good times, his record over last few seasons is terrible. I’d say that lan has a better record of late.

Would be foolish of Troon not to speak to him, if I’m correct I think he stays near Troon, so he knows the area well. With his backroom staff having Troon connections this would be a good fit.

Yes he did, he won’t be out the game long. Maybe a job where he could build a team from nothing, like he did at Craigmark would suit him.

Would be interesting to see the mess Girvan would be in, had Ian not stepped in when he did.

I would not be surprised if he takes some sort of scouting roll till he gets the job he wants.

I think you will find that Ian didn’t spend much money. He maximised the budget with his contacts in the game. His budget won’t even in the top half of the league.

I think you’ll find Ian spent far less than you think building a very strong squad.
