  1. We are an embarrassing mess of a football club. This latest nonsense is beyond bewildering. They cannot be fucked with the extra work entailed by selling season tickets or balloting and therefore must be the only club in Scotland restricting entry to last season’s ticket holders. The fans don’t matter to these arrogant clowns. Time for an EGM to be called and for these chancers to be chased out the door. Supporters of the club being locked out of games due to incompetence and laziness. Unforgivable, especially after the last 15 months.
  2. Didn’t play too often but he was out of his depth when he did, just a young boy at the time mind. Seems to have improved at East Kilbride and Forfar Athletic though.
  3. More birthday caird pish from Dempster with absolutely no substance. She’s winding me up something awful so far; her famed communication skills appear to be wildly exaggerated.
  4. If the sacking of McKinnon (and the nonsensical statement which accompanied it) was the first piece of shite the Club had thrust on supporters in 2020/2021 I’d agree with you. But it isn’t. It follows: - The decision to offer Full Time contracts to players without notifying members. - The appointment of a CEO without any clarification on who she answers to or the production of a simple organisational chart. - The botching of the new stadium build and the subsequent lack of communication on the stalled building work. - The Tony Quinn farce (he has a job at the Club, but he isn’t currently doing it and no one knows what it is). - The establishment of a ‘Charitable Trust’ without clear goals or prior notification of members. - The point blank refusal to acknowledge the last game at Hampden Park, our home for the last 118 years. - Announcing the WRONG temporary home for the remainder of 2020/21 (and doing so less than fifteen minutes before the last game at Hampden). - Leann Dempster leaking news about next season’s playing arrangements to the press two weeks ago. There has been no further announcement from the club. - Committee members running about on the pitch after we won the league. Despite COVID restrictions still being in place and ‘normal’ fans being locked out of the grounds for a season. - The ruthless sacking of a title winning manager who looks set to be replaced by either Alan Stubbs (a bumbling idiot who can’t speak in full sentences) or Malky Mackay (a racist). Anything I’ve missed or should I just put my head in the sand and hope for the best?
  5. First of all, best of luck to Ray McKinnon with whatever he ends up doing in the future. I wasn’t always enamoured with the playing style and some performances but he will go down in history as a title winning manager and he deserves the utmost respect for that. His sacking, while not shocking, is ruthless and in a lot of ways disappointing. It was clear from his interviews throughout the year he wanted to be here for the long haul. Sounds like his face didn’t fit following Leann Dempster’s appointment. Replacing him will only be palatable if his successor is a clear improvement. If Alan Stubbs gets the nod, it would be the latest f**k up in what has been a dreadful six months off the park since Dempster was appointed. Overall though, I’m less concerned with the change in coach than I am with the running of the club as a whole. I’m not a full member, but I did attend supporters meetings at the time when professionalism was voted on, and this isn’t what people voted for. The committee are clearly being dictated to from above, and after assurances from ex-President Gerry Crawley that this wouldn’t be the case it, simply isn’t acceptable. We are now a rich man’s play thing, and will need to take the rough with the smooth after what was a terrific season on the pitch. Just hope it doesn’t end in the same way that most of these situations tend to.
  6. One rule for some fans and another for the rest clearly Dooflick. You think they would at least be subtle considering how poorly they have treated the support this season.
  7. Committee men on the pitch (again) and walking about with medals on as if they won it themselves They are taking the piss out of the supporters now to be honest. Totally shameless. Don’t even see why it’s ‘essential’ for so many them to be at games never mind clearly breaching agreed COVID protocols. If we’re serious about modernising the club then the first thing needs to be getting rid of these status obsessed chancers.
  8. Nice to see Mr Hunter is still about. Would’ve been a good opportunity to address concerns about the last game at Hampden, the new ground and the many questions surrounding the running of the club. Shame he hasn’t used it.
  9. Now, now Mick you don’t expect the Committee to address their idiot supporters with regards any serious matters do you? Sure they’d rather just sit and congratulate themselves on their success this year while sending Ms Dempster out into the press on another shameless drive for self promotion. As long as members of the committee are getting onto the pitch to celebrate with the players (seems COVID safe to me) whilst the fans are stuck at home; I don’t get the impression that they care whatsoever.
  10. Why does having a (perfectly valid) opinion on the recent performances of a player make someone an idiot? Get a fucking grip of yourself. Also interesting that you seem to know how far Nicky Jamieson can stretch? Weird. QPSpider1867, I completely agree with you (suppose that makes two idiots). He’s an okay young player but if we’re looking to make the progress that paid employees of the club keep telling The Sun and Daily Record we are going to make, then his long term future won’t be at Queen’s Park.
  11. Sorry you didn’t enjoy my post Dooflick. I will be sure to upset your sensibilities again as soon as possible.
  12. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Queen’s committee pushed to have this game postponed to mark the tragic death of Prince Phillip, aged 300.
  13. Spot on Mick. Pretty sure there are fans of other teams that can tell us what happened next following their spells of ‘temporary’ homelessness. Dempster has made massive noises about ‘community engagement’ but how is that meant to work when we’re playing home games/training in Cumbernauld, Falkirk or Airdrie?!
  14. Of course it matters. A club having a stadium to call its own is one of the fundamentals to any success. You don’t need to play devil’s advocate for the club any time some dissent is expressed.
  15. Yep, clearly another lie spun to supporters. They seem to think we don’t notice these things. Not fussed about where we play this year as we can’t go anyway, but what a disaster if it’s Falkirk next season. Meant to be a brave new era for the Club and even if we do have fans back could be doing it in front of less than 100 home fans in League One. They have a few months to get this sorted but I would be stunned if they do based on previous incompetence.
  16. This would be great, honestly, but why can’t the Club just tell us that’s the intention? The lack of communication with fans and members is what’s disgraceful here. Too many people involved at Queen’s who love having information before the plebs and revel in being ‘in the know’. Dempster needs to get a grip (especially now we have bald committee members having a pop at fans on Facebook for daring to have an opinion). Do the Club truly believe the SFA will let us in for one last game? It’s almost like we’ve never had dealings with the SFA before to prove they are total charlatans. We engaged in a grown up business deal with another professional organisation. The association owe us absolutely nothing.
  17. Final game at Hampden Park confirmed by the club with 13 minutes notice. What an absolute fucking embarrassment. Total incompetence from our Committee but should we be surprised? I was really looking forward to today’s game but Queen’s have managed to drain me of all enthusiasm. Livid at how this has all been handled.
  18. A newsletter ahahaha, this fucking club man. Shame they don’t have an official website they could use to communicate with supporters. Still zero comment from anyone involved with Queen’s regards Saturday being our last game at Hampden Park. For a club that claims to care so much about its history, this is an absolute disgrace. Fans being treated with total contempt. Club more than happy to announce additions to an already bloated squad but keeping a deathly silence over things people actually want to know about.
  19. Nice to hear the purpose of the Club is to change lives and not, you know, win football matches and entertain the support. Wild patter. Don’t even get me started on the stadium stuff. Three months to sort a home pitch and we are still doing ‘site visits’. Hopefully Dempster does revolutionise the club because if we keep going like this we’ll be bust by Christmas. Clown show.
  20. Gretna 6 and never forget it. My letter remains framed and on the wall at my Ma’s house. Proud moment.
  21. Would be more than happy with Galt as Club Captain but there would also then be an added pressure not to miss games through work commitments. That may seem harsh, but standards definitely change at football clubs when money starts changing hands, and rightly so? Grant seems the obvious choice to me due to the way he organises the team on the pitch but I don’t think he’s the kind of guy that would care about that to be honest. He’ll still be a leader. Best of luck to Gibby now he has moved on. Have heard he’s signing for Cumbernauld Colts in the Lowland League. A true QP man and deserves some luck after some very bad injuries over the years (130 appearances in 7 and a half years shows just how unlucky he has been).
  22. Confidence coursing through the club and the players right now but I imagine Elgin will be exactly the same after the win over Cove at the weekend. Sutherland’s absence for City will be a huge boost for our defence but need to be wary of Smart who has apparently looked quite sharp since he moved up north. Hopefully we have Slater back involved as he adds an extra dimension, but even without him I’m fairly confident we can pick up another win here. Our record against Elgin (particularly at Hampden) is largely good and I fancy us to keep that going. 2-0 QP is my prediction. Salim to get back on the goal trail.
  23. Speak for yourself sir the IBF have already made a mass order of promotion t-shirts and Peter Grant phone covers.
  24. Absolutely wonderful away day yesterday and a great three points to cap it off. Don’t think we played too well for the majority of the match but the players dug in and got their just rewards for 90 minutes sheer graft in dreadful conditions. Super performances from Kieran Moore off the bench (not his biggest fan but two well taken goals), Ross McLean and Josh Doig, who looks a fantastic young player. Peter Grant is an absolute leader of men in that team and thought he dragged the side forward at times yesterday. Massive slice of luck for his goal but worth the pop and great celebrations after. There is a great feeling around the club right now and fingers crossed we can keep the run going with a huge game against Elgin on Saturday. Players and fans were both right up for it and up to everyone to keep that up.
