Thought it might be nice to highlight a result which sticks after each round of fixtures. Imagine there will be differences of opinion on what a good result is.

I'll kick off with the midweek results. One which stands out is Maybole taking three points at Kilwinning Rangers. Not sure how the game panned out but would have expected to see Buffs get a strong win in that one, so well done to Maybole.

Which results throughout the league caught your eye?

Not really a surprise Maybole beating Kilwinning. Maybole will be a higher budget than the Buffs this season. Plenty cash getting spent down Ladywell in recent seasons

Loved to be at the door of the Wosfl League chairman when the Record and the Sun arrive.

Eh eh eh, Aye ah mean we, don't know nuffin, wisnae us that done it. Take it up wae Shettleston eh Glesga Utd.

So you don't think the Wosfl has been brought into disrepute?

Eh eh, naw, nuffin tae dae wae us, pal.

And if it was your daughter?

If you read my posts you would know I wouldn’t want him anywhere near my club.
All I'm saying is unless there is a rule in place then the WoS committee cant just pick and choose who they deem fit to play

    Grow a pair.

And do what exactly? My point to HorseyGhirl stands, how can the league be blamed for anyone signing him? Surely their hands are tied?
Bring in a fit and proper test? Il look forward to next season with no rapists, drug dealers, wife beaters, gangsters or anyone else with a criminal record being involved in Senior Football

    Why the silence from WOSFL?

What do you actually want the league to do? I agree he shouldn’t kick a ball again at any level but having no criminal record I don’t see what you expect the WoS to do. Ban everyone with a criminal record? There would be literally 100s of player, coaches and volunteers in this bracket

Although we've took 5/6 points so far we're still miles aff it. We're still in need of a LB,RB,CAM,Winger and a striker prior to the league stating on 5th August . Failure to get that should result in Mathie and Glendinning being emptied imo.

Mathie? Really 🤯 Guys the only one on the board with half a brain of how to run a club. He’s obviously still learning himself but by f**k is the club not being run more professionally than it has in years since he came in

  7. The money now getting thrown about at WoS level is absurd, especially In this day and age with a lot of people struggling to pay bills and put food on the table. Their will be supporters at Johnstone in this boat, all the while watching guys who couldn’t give a shite about their club swaggering about the pitch earning 4 figure weekly wages for 2 training sessions and a game on a Saturday against boys earning 30 quid a week.
Gone are the days clubs at this level were about local boys and volunteers who played and helped out on committees.
Its going down the same road as the professional game where cash is king and the clubs with the biggest benefactors thrive and everyone else is left behind.
Sad days indeed when even guys taking pictures and videos are jumping club to club for the biggest wages. It was hard enough for the smaller clubs, but even harder now with kitmen, physios, photographers all with their hands out.

Not much point in the council doing too much with it when there is a new athletics facility just along the road.

It is time the council and the rugby club got a move on though.

I get that, but while teams are still paying to play there it should be kept to a certain standard as they aren’t letting anyone play on the pitch at the new facility

I know it has been mentioned before but the old railway yard wasteland is just screaming out for something to done with it, would love if Mr Smith's next project was there...

Looks as if the line of crash barriers that has been cut down will be where the new stand seats could possibly start so will still be a good amount of terracing which is pleasing.

I know in the grand scheme of things its no big deal but that different coloured bit of roof on the main stand really annoys me
