By now, each club will have looked at the revenue streams that they have and worked out what there exposure to playing without fans - some revenue streams will still work well, eg online club stores, Streamed matches through Club TV and Televised games through a broadcaster (e.g. Sky Sports), Donations Benefactors (other clubs have them too) Club sponsors.
Some will be worse, ticket sales, match day hospitality, match day sponsorship, programme sales, sales through a brick and mortar club store.
All clubs will, by now have projections about what the numbers look like for them. Some have commented publicly, some have played their cards close to their chest. The meetings are a way for the situation to be discussed privately and the needs collated.
For some clubs, starting up in August will be fine, for others, the opportunity to mothball and remain a league member may be something that would help them survive. Anything other than running a normal season would likely require rule changes.
