I see there are rumours that Man Utd are looking at Gareth Southgate as manager if/when Ten Hag leaves at the end of the season - seems like a ready made disaster to me.

    Sounds lovely.

Miss a pen., take the lead, hold it for only 6 minutes, concede another last minute goal to lose - usual shite.

Manchester United and Liverpool next, null point there.

The Liverpool game has been postponed due to their FA Cup QF with Manchester United.

Sorry, since when were Chelsea fans considered to be exceptionally wealthy?

You should try and buy a property in the area.

On the talk of Liverpool’s spending throughout Klopp’s reign he has consistently bought players below the top price bracket and made them into stars. Salah, Mane - Robertson, Wijnaldum both relegated - Jota, Matip (free), Gakpo, Elliott … it’s a long list.

Albeit he did sign Van Dijk and Alisson for top money but he did raise £140 million through selling Coutinho to fund it.

He gets paid £16 million a year so let’s not kid on it’s a fairytale but I’m struggling to think of a better all round job done at the top end of English / maybe European football in the last 10 - 20 years.

Throw in £15 million Endo up against Caicedo / Enzo both £100 million + and their £1.2 billion spend. Liverpools 9/10 injuries. Bradley, Quansah, Kelleher all involved yesterday + the 3 teenagers late on in the 90 and extra time and can see where the fuss has come from over yesterday.

PS … The famous plastic flag waving in response the Liverpool ends signing in ET was probably the cherry on the top 😀

Rosyth literally not existing and still being above Vale of Leithen is hilarious 😂

You laugh away but just short of 12 months ago the Vale’s third manager of the season had just departed and they had 6 players left. They very nearly went the same way as Rosyth just have and I don’t think anyone wanted to see that.

    Hertha BSC 3 - 2 FC Magdeburg

A phenomenal experience and a quite mental game of football. First time ever going to the Olympiastadion, some stadium and both sets of fans were incredible with pyro all over the shop.

Hertha dominated early and spurned loads of chances before Magdeburg took the lead. Hertha scored a pen then Magdeburg got a straight red - Hertha scored from the resulting free kick.

Then something happened that I've never seen before. In first half injury time, whilst Magdeburg were waiting to take a corner, Hertha fans launched tennis balls on to the pitch. Each time they were cleared, they'd launch a few more. Eventually, the ref took them off.

Fifteen mins later, they returned and restarted from the corner and played the remaining four mins of injury time. The ref blew for the end of the first half and the teams swapped sides and went straight into the second half.

Magdeburg levelled before another brief stoppage for fireworks. Finally, Hertha got a winner although almost conceded an equaliser with a shot off the bar at the end.

I'm aware this reads a bit like Ralph Wiggum wrote it but was genuinely one of the most entertaining games I've ever been at.

Saw Liverpool play there in pre-season 4/5 years ago. Brilliant stadium.

    Out on 4th April apparently.

Will NOT be made by Panini for the first time since 1976 as Uefa move to Topps instead for their albums.

No word on price per packet yet, if their Champions League 23/24 ones are anything to go by its £1 for 8 stickers.

Enjoy swapping doubles with the P&B faithful.

£1 for 8 stickers wouldn’t be too bad. Premier League ones currently 90p for 5.

PS If anyone wants to do some swapping of those got plenty here.

Just watching SSN doing some analysis of Klopps fist pumps at the end of the match. Now I am as guilty as the next man of assuming City will romp it from here, but it turns out Klopp did 3 triple fist pumps yesterday instead of his usual one. That seems really significant to me.
