  1. Saturday:

    Lewis

    Hernandez Taylor McKenna Considine

    Ojo Bryson Ferguson

    McGinn Anderson Hayes

(assuming Logan, Cosgrove and Main are out)

As the season goes on Hayes will play more at left back with Considine probably replacing McKenna as he leaves. Kennedy coming in to the attack. I think McInnes would start with Logan if he could this week as he puts a lot of faith in trust but Hernandez will surely become the regular right back at some point in the opening stages of the season.

For too long, Chairmen and Owners have stood on the sidelines bemoaning the decision-making processes, the perceived lack of leadership, the lack of commercialism; the general shortcomings, as they see it, of Scottish football. However, if they really want things to change, it will take more than words. They will have to stand-up and be counted.

What part of this was about anything to do with changing "the decision-making processes, the perceived lack of leadership, the lack of commercialism"?

It was about trying to avoid relegation and nothing more. She didn't put anything forward that would have affected any of the things she claims there.

  3. Problem is even on a low wage with a decent appearance fee it could mean we don't recruit another defender and if (when) he gets injured when the transfer window is closed we're left short. If he's in the squad it has to be as a "bonus" player. If McKenna leaves we would still need a more reliable centre back brought in as Devlin is another we can't rely on to be fit.

The point is nobody has confirmed any way for fans to watch away games.

Didn't Hamilton confirm their games will be £10 PPV? There's how you're watching your side against Hamilton.

The problem clubs are going to face now is the pricing. Most have charged ST holders the usual price but giving them a stream instead for the games that are BCD. So a PPV stream of 1 game will surely be the same (or very close) as the normal single ticket price would have been? Otherwise ST holders are getting the raw deal there. (Actually not an issue with those like Motherwell who are guaranteeing X amount of games with your ST, rolled over to next season as required).

I think the HibsTV comment is a red herring. HibsTV (and RedTV and all the others) will still operate as normal. UK people will get audio coverage and can replay the match in full later on, get all the highlights and interviews etc. This isn't the product you would be buying (as a home or away fan) to watch a one-off game live. There will be another product that season ticket holders will get access to and other fans will be able to purchase on a game-by-game basis.

Aberdeen said last week that the details for their season ticket holders would be sent out this week. They won't be in a rush to give out details of PPV pricing as the Rangers game is on Sky so cannot be sold separately.

Can we just ignore the trolls?

I'm certain it's no coincidence we've not heard from bogbrush in days and then he's in giving the other negative boy greenies in minutes.

Troll? Because I pointed out we've magically upped the expected capacity after hitting that number of season tickets. Dinna be so precious. It's alrite to question what the club is doing.

There will be no walk up or away fans if the crowd allowed in is less than the number of season ticket sales. I would say that that’s a fact rather than a scare tactic. Are you related to that guy posting on here last weekend?

On it's own, sure. In with the capacity suddenly jumping up after people have been pressured in to buying to be one of the first 7500, not so sure.

As unnerving as these type of updates are i do appreciate the honesty and openness from the club.

Silence and then growing rumours of admin might be the alternative for a lot of other clubs with similar challenges.

I'm not convinced these updates are in the name of honesty and openness. They read as season ticket marketing campaigns. The fact they said 7500 would be the capacity when we'd sold 6800 and have now, after we've sold 7500, upped that to 9000 is suspicious. They added in a line about the possibility of no walk-ups or away fans to scare you a bit more into getting that season ticket if you have any desire to go to Pittodrie this season.

Just watching the Ronald Hernandez interview. Interesting point for me, is that Hayes is clearly playing at left back in the training match shown.

Doesn't tell us too much at this point. Given it was an inter-squad game we needed 4 centre backs and only have McKenna, Taylor & Considine fit as senior players so Considine was needed there. Assume Hayes and McKenzie were the two left backs.

I'd expect to see Considine at left back against Rangers with McKenna and Taylor at centre back. Against teams where we might spend most of the game on the attack we might see Hayes line up at left back.
