  1. Well done to the guys at the club on and off the park somehow keeping the club going so long. Finally work is beginning Post pandemic . New pyramid system New stadium New era Just remember to name that stand after the junior legend Davie Smith Cheers [emoji106][emoji837][emoji835][emoji460]
  2. Yes thanks for the match report and little updates. It's been a trying time well decade for the club (off the park mostly ) maybe one day soon will see an end to the saga of all sagas In the meantime good luck to the team stick in at it and hopefully get home supporters anyway back sometime early next year
  3. Just to point out Rob Roy are named after the Rob Roy curling club from the eastside area of the town . The young men who founded the club were told they had to change the original name they had wanted to register so as they were from east side and enjoyed curling long before football they used the name of the curling club in Kirky. Hence the name Kirkintilloch Rob Roy F C. The first ground the football club used the land was donated to them by the same individual who let the Rob Roy curling club use another piece of land nearby to play curling. Not sure where Perthshire curling club came from . Incidentally Rob Roy curling club from Kirky were founded in 1855.
  4. Do the club have a video man and a camera man for this season?? I take it with a monthly programme for sale someone will be taking photographs. Anyhoo nice result saturday and enjoyed the highlight footage i take it is taken by cumbernauld as its on nauld website.
  5. Feel for the team and players after games like yesterday the last year or so we have through a whole host of reasons went with a young squad many games we have competed well in and came so close to get justifiable points only to lose a late late goals. Guess its all about experience and seeing things out properly and getting that bit of luck that all teams need. On a more positive the young team as long as they stay hungry and are willing to learn and develop they will only improve and be a asset to the club in the future I've also noticed the numerous fundraising efforts that should be applauded, the way the club have shown great will to play football and keep things going in these pandemic times and in general throughout the nomadic period in our long history is one that should be a source of pride. In other words we are a stubborn lot up kirky way and just wont give up
  6. Boys before match on saturday our opening senior game very young looking or maybe i'm just getting auld . Good luck for the season lads keep the heads up, keep working hard and you'll only benefit from experience at this level lots of potential in this squad.
  7. I stated a fact his club have looked after themselves to not play 28 league games my club looked after themselves in not playing one league game at that moment in time in the circumstances we were in . I have no problem with any club doing what is right for themselves in certain circumstances . He's banging on about one game against us that ultimately meant nothing yet numerous clubs all over the country in non league have done it all over the years in games and seasons that meant something yet nobody ever brings them up anywhere i read. I find it bizarre as i guarantee the vast majority of people at auchinleck couldn't give a flying f**k about it.
  8. Oh dear what a shame i'm sure you'll get over it eventually.
  9. Embarassing and pathetic from a supporter of a club in auchinleck who has decided to look after themselves and NOT play a whole season never mind one game. I know you will have nothing better to do at the moment but honest to god get a grip. Rob Roy looked after themselves on that occasion not to play one game at that point due to circumstances in time just as a said auchinleck are looking after themselves not playing 28 games + this whole season to look after themselves. A global pandemic and you are dredging up something that many teams through the years have choose to do in a season that was irrelevant anyway and doesn't matter a jot now. It was the start of the new season yesterday in a new era our new young squad and club were able to get the game on with a full squad eager to play after seven months of no competitive football. If thats not alright with you then tough . Ps feel free to write a letter of complaint to the west region sjfa if it bothers you so much which it bizarrely still does.
  10. Good pre season which ultimately means nothing but still good for team to get some confidence ahead of new season. Very young squad but one that can hopefully grow together with experience as i have commented current situation probably helps our type of squad more than most. Nice to see a boy up front from the very successful youth team promoted to the first team he seemed to be doing well in pre season so why not.
  11. Good news that the club have confirmed participation in this coming season. Krr are actually in a unique position in this current situation the way things are may actually benefit us in a perverse way. This situation gives the club time to regroup, build the stadium get that up and running and gives the new young squad more experience of playing at a good non league level keeping them involved in the game with less pressure than 'normal ' .
  12. Hi thanks for info Do you have a squad list as its difficult to get a idea of it from player profiles on club website.
  13. Given how the club has managed to survive for so long with all the constraints you'd like to hope krr would be able to survive this current situation playing with or without fans.
  14. Plans have never changed well online anyway. Not sure of time difference on adding the phase two seating as you'd think given the money being spent it be easier to do it all in one go . Phase one 252 seats main stand Phase two 252 seats main stand Phase one as in plans 50 VIP seated stand with wheelchair access. As you say steering away from picking holes in the details main thing is back in the town hopefully can build things back up again as good potential at club.
  15. October start for construction so the word is in the town now everything has been completely rubber stamped once started it wont be to long before its complete in comparison to how long the club have waited! Over 4 million pound complex with council contributing and the club a sizeable amount through the final sale of adamslie park going through with the club operating and managing the complex. Sure its not got the feel of old ground but being back in kirky and a stones throw from the old ground it will certainly feel like home in a good location. The fundamentals are good for the club and perfect timing moving into this new era of non league football. 504 seated stand 50 VIP seats over other side with roof and wheelchair access, two sets of toilets, flood lights, 4g pitch, food outlet, hospitality, managers room, etc On the park rebuilding with a new fresh young squad . Good luck to the club
