  1. Good signing and one we need. Jim obviously likes playing with wingers and we’ve lacked that so hope fully now with people coming back we can use Stewart Stowe mcintosh Dow Reilly Murray wide  then McKenna bird mcintosh Robinson centrally and gives us variations and depth in these areas. Think with McKenna and Robinson they could play slightly deeper off the striker so 442/4231

Outwith a total bomb-scare moment, I can't remember you threatening too much. We definitely dropped off, but we did enough both halves to win the game. Still not trying to dress it up though. Both teams are utter shite, and Arbroath will finish dead last with us a close second (bottom)

Few set piece chances Robinson took an age with a chance. Maybe didn’t have as much chances but think he had the better half.

  3. I did expect a shot flinging contest and it did not disappoint Dunfermline winning the first half and us the second.

both teams missing some massive chances zero confidence on show.

Dow and Stowe are terrible wide options for us. Was in impressed with Teale. Good to have players back but could the rustiness which is expected. Hopefully none of the 3 Ht changes aren’t injuries but changes were needed.

dunfermline centre half that got hooked at half time was absolutely awful. Along with the playing surface.

wanted 3 points but I’ll take the 1 after the first half.

Pars have signed Chris Kane on loan from St Johnstone. The loan market is still open till end of February I think. We should be trying to utilise it imo.

I’m sure we are but we’ve brought in 7 players and let 2 go. Wouldn’t imagine we have much scope for movement now. Mike caird say they budget for a squad of 20 in his video we currently have 25 3 on loan so we are paying full wages on at least 22 of them.

  5. They only way our finances would have dropped significantly is from the hybrid role paying some of the duds we’ve had accom etc for the last 2 years. Dont think our wage structure is bad maybe just Scott Allan is the figures are true being banded around. A lot of the stadium work was done with the covid grant, the money left behind from a supporter and obviously prize money

    Behave?

So you can’t see us averaging any number between 100-999?

Unlikely to be any big travelling supports to boost our average either.

Yes, if we have a great season but look at QOTS, they average half what they did in the Championship, Dumfries is bigger than Arbroath and they had many more years of “success” than we did to build that support.

Yeah there are the diehards among us but football fans are fickle as f**k.

If we get relegated I’ll be shocked if we go under 1000 ST holders.

Bairns love going they’ll still come no like they watch the football anyway  just run about with there pals so whatever league we are in won’t matter. Yes away supports will be down but will still no be under 4 figure sums each week

What worries me most about relegation is that the club will immediately become a very very different beast to what it's been for the last 5 years and it may take years… if ever, to get back.

We will have to get used to 3 figure attendances again, a huge drop in hospitality, local interest, merch sales (will the club shop survive?), prize money, gate money, sponsorships, tv money etc etc etc.

It’s all very well that we’ll hopefully be watching better football and a more competitive team again but ask Alloa, Accies, QOTS or even Falkirk if they thought they’d be in L1 for so long and if it’s preferable to being a poor Champioship team. Look what Accies have thrown at trying to get back up - they might through the playoffs but it’s not a given.

A few short years after our last stint in the second tier we were in serious danger of slipping out of the league altogether.

Nothing lasts forever and we would need to go full time to compete fully with them. Punched above our weight for a good few seasons now. So it’s par for the course in my eyes.

3 figure attendances behave. Dropping to league 1 not the pits at bottom end league 2.

We may lose money but the outlays like additional money for security will reduce, wages will drop again etc etc. We are a well run club financially and will have plans in place for either outcome. We won’t be throwing cash at returning back to championship that’s what’s hampered other clubs and look at the mess there in along with how they ran themselves whilst in championship we’ve been sustainable the whole time lived within our means.

  8. We need to get our own ship in order no point caring about other results. I can see us pick up results once we get bodies back but I’m starting to think it’s too late cause everyone else is going to pick up points. Funny old league every team at points has went on a wee winning run at some stage.

What?? I think you have took what I said wrong

Because I say we are in a mess and that team would struggle in league 2,

    Obviously it would....

I've not had a dig at any player, the boys that are available are giving everything,

But the current starting 11 with the players playing out of position and absolutely no back up we would struggle to pick up points in lower leagues no mind the championship

The current team isn’t that terrible our problem is we can’t change anything inplay.

the back 4 today would play normally play albeit in normal positions. 3 out of the 5 in midfield would probably play a part again in normal positions And bird would play.

We are a mess in the injury department but most these player are decent for this level bar 2 or 3 but are all just playing out of position which obviously isn’t helping.

Dont even think we were that bad today considering our circumstance but what chance have you got with decisions going against you and your only sub to make is turan to come. The goal killed us and was only ending one way after that

What a mess we are in,

Yeh refs having a mare but it doesn't hide the fact that it's looking very dire

That starting 11 would struggle in league 2,

    What do you actually expect?

a young attack minded midfielder filling in it full back along with 2 other midfielders. One defender playing with a broken toe.
a midfield all playing out of there natural position and an outfield sub that manager clearly doesn’t rate and quite rightly imo he’s rubbish.

the boys available are all physically fucked playing every minute of every game just now.

we are playing to get through games with minimal damage in results and injures.
