I have looked around generally and cannot find any great pictures online on Google or other sites plus i have exhausted all the info in all the Clydesdale Bank books. I was wondering if anyone on here is an ex player or a fan that goes back to the 80's of Stranraer, has shirts and photos of them, home and away, and or photographs in colours of the squads and the players, in black and white too even? Looking for photos of players and in match of home and away kits and photos of shirts with sponsors: ▪︎Unsponsored Bukta kits from 1980-1984 ▪︎Burgess Motors sponsored kits ▪︎Sealink kits home and away This would be a massive help for a fantastic project. Yeah! Cheers mate, did i not say that they were the ones i made an offer and were rejected, sorry if i didn't. Thanks man for the heads up. Yeah, i made an offer for them at 13 as i have seen them from about 13 and 15 quid mint, his have writing it and a page loose in one issue. I do really want them but the fact that they sound less than great and they are open to a bidding war, i'll just wait and continue the quest. I have 7 of them mint and another one 1 of them really good, so 8 out of the set are belters and any more than 13 for them in the nick of the ones in ebay is a wait i'm willing to make. Its too easy to buy something like that then realise you lost out when something comes up exactly the way you wanted them. I was just late when i came across a post on FB when i found an old post where the guy was selling them flat price 12 quid and mint! They are sought after and have proven to come across rare like, but i don't believe that its the full story. I just think people haven't thought to list them as much as they are listed, i believe by asking and going out there, i can spark a memory and someone will come forward with one. I asked a guy if he happened to have the pain in the ass 82/83, he did and sold it to me mint for 13 quid! I needed a 1980-81 one too a guy came forward, said he had a doubler and sent it to me for nothing even though i insisted i'd give him something for it, which is still nuts to me!

I inherited hundreds of older, and varied programmes. I'll have another look through them for you and see if either of them are there. Cheers Ayr23! Would be smashing mate!

Thanks all for the replies, that was the thing that let me down was the descriptions of their condition wise plus and fact that they are bid ones. To get into a bidding war over something thats damaged is too risky. I am dying to get them but prefer to be able to buy them outright and with little to no damage at all. Thanks Moonball and Pele for the suggestions and help. I got a mint 1982-83 one for 13 quid and got a good 1980-81 one sent to me for nothing recently. I have came across others that i have just missed out on that were sold for flat straight out prices of 12 on FB so i'm probably more worth searching for a seller who hasn't listed and in better condition that i can buy outright. I3 was fair for them as they are damaged but the offers were rejected, i just came across a post for ones i missed out on FB that a guy was selling mint for 12 each! So i won't be going for the ones on Ebay. I'm dying to get them but i'm not paying more than 13 or 15 for damaged ones. There are a couple of folk on here that have a couple that i would be intrested in if they were selling them, but unfortunately not. I understand, i love the books. Quest continues for now......

Awesome, pity you are not parting with them, because i'd have your hand off lol. I just got the 82-83 one recently, by god, that was a pain in the arse to get! If you were selling would offer you 13-15 each plus postage for them just if you happen to but your not selling. I will never sell them when i complete them. Its a quest that is 11 years onwards for these. Just a pain in the arse and dying to complete them. The quest continues......

Thank you all for your help and thanks Archie for looking for us! Yeah, Ebay is a double edges sword though, ended up losing more often than not and not wanting to get entangled in any bidding wars that leave you smarting, ending up paying astronomically more than they are. I will succeed! I think they are the best and only source of their kind and should continue to be made, they shouldn't have stopped in the mid 00's but its down to relevence i guess. Christ, they continue to publish review books for leagues that are lesser known and less popular in other countries. Clydesdale should have done them right through the 90's. The more abundant Tartan, Tennent's, B&Q and Nationwide ones are thin in comparison to the glory of the 80's ones. I love the profile shots and actually found out who they are by, an agency called Sportapics ran by a guy called George Ashton. To date! I have asked about aproximately 2-300 people if they have them, even tweeted Graham Spiers to see if he had them! As of yet no reply. I have asked shirt collectors of various Scottish clubs, Paul John Dykes of ACSOM and authour of Celtic books, followers of him, left comments on Youtube of 80's Scottish football videos to see if there are replies, messaged on different forums, used Facebook...so many massages on the quest. Even by any chance look out for anyone who happened to work in a Clydesdale Bank branch in the 80's to see if the have any. Even spoke to a guy who's uncle ran the Brechin City club hut in the 80's and he even had a copy of all of them that the club hut stocked but not any doublers apart from 1980-81, which he sent for nothing and wouldn't accept anything for it after insisting which i could not believe.
