What a hit by Nicholson! In off the bar too, nothing finer.
Would we be wanting to keep him for next season? I think he’s shown something.

Really looking forward to seeing Moult, Watt , Grimshaw and Gallagher scoring against us at some point next season.
Whilst that’s all a nailed on grim certainty, I’m more concerned about how our rebuild is going to go.

I am shocked he's not very good.
Stuart Kettlewell is getting away with murder IMO. We're so fucking shite.I respect the fact that you’ve never changed your tune on Kettlewell.
I‘m very much of the same opinion but gave up calling for his head when it became clear during the wretched run that he wasn’t getting binned no matter what.
I reckon calls for his head will begin again in earnest by September/October however.

I can only assume that was it.
It will be a more interesting debate in the summer if/when he gets paid off by Groningen and is floating about looking for a club with his stock way lower than it was (I'd still be in the "no" camp BTW).
Agreed, but I’d definitely take Moult back.

Spittal could have his own personal comp!
Bair v Livi though gets my vote.

If only Motherwell had spent more on their playing squad and less on their pitch they might’ve made top 6.
Beautiful surface though guys.
Several Dundee fans coming in here to gloat despite there not being a single Motherwell fan on here , or in the real world, appearing to be even remotely annoyed we missed out on the top 6.
I suppose when you’ve spent 15 of the last 20 seasons in the seaside leagues and 40+ in the shadow of your neighbours you’ll go over board about scraping a top half league finish!

None. Given the Dundee result
Good point, I initially thought his miss had cost us top 6.

Dundee fans quite exited at having a bang average season.

How much money has Oli Shaw cost us with that miss?

Oli Shaw just putting the tin lid on everyone knowing how shite he is.

Cannae whack overreacting at half time and then looking quite the fool.
I would’ve left at 2-0, and certainly after the penalty miss. Serves me right.
Football’s not really for me anymore I think.
Edit: Ah, I didn’t know the goal was from the rebound! I just seen we missed a penalty.

Quite possibly a worse hair of football than last week which takes some doing.
Incredible this absolute gang ended the ibrox hoodoo. Nothing about them whatsoever.0 -
Piss poor defending as always. Someone left their man there,

How has that pitch passed a pitch inspection?!?!

Need to keep the stadium and pitch functional even if you’re planning/hoping to move.

Many many cup exits
- Ayr in 2000
- Inverness 2004
- Dundee 2007
- Albion Rovers 2013
- x 3 v Aberdeen in 2012/2013
Basically any time we had a decent team but then shat it v teams that we really should have been beating.

Sleepwalking our way towards the play offs.

Paul McGinn with the most needlessly conceded corner you’ll ever see leading to the softest goal possible to concede.

I seen us win it in 1991 but I don’t reckon we’ll ever win a cup again, especially when we continually can’t get past the likes of Albion Rovers, Ayr, Raith, Morton, Inverness, and a whole host of peer level premiership teams.
Of the 4 other major finals we’ve reached since 1991 we were unfortunate to meet either of the Old Firm and were soundly horsed in all of them.

Posted in the match thread but worth repeating as the decisions were just to inexplicably bad.
Just seen the disallowed Motherwell goal. That is an absolute joke of a decision!
How can he give that then not give the handball v Shinnie?!?! They’re one and the same!
VAR needs launched, and not just for today

I appreciate emotions are high on a Saturday night but come on...we were never going to reach the top six just because we had a couple of wins, we're highly unlikely to collapse into the playoffs because a 50-50 today went against us rather than for us.
It's frustrating to drop needless points and obviously the sooner we can get the win to confirm matters the better but there's no need to go ott.
I’m not even remotely bothered about top 6 and I think it was completely unrealistic to think that would happen this season.
More it’s “2 steps forward, 1 step back” by losing a very winnable game at home and unless Davor and Gent were injured, absolutely ludicrous to not start them.

Shocker of a result today.
Typical of Motherwell to win at Ibrox only to lose at home to a team who hadn’t won in the league for 5(?) games.
Play offs very much still a possibility now.

Aberdeen being decent before we play them is a pain.
This performance today might just be a blip!
I think they play Dundee midweek and I don’t think Aberdeen have put in several good performances in a row this season so far so here’s hoping!

Early days, but providing the banter win at Dens aside, the Moses boy I suspect isn’t going to be up to much.
