I took in cove & montrose midweek as a neutral I thought montrose were hard done by! Should have got at least a draw & the ref was poor!

the on loan dund utd kid looked really good and stood out !

I must have been watching a diff game today, I can’t count the darvel keeper having 1 save to make the first half or beith having a chance! It was so one sided that it was embarrassing 

the first goal was a break of fortune as the ball bobbled and took 2 players out( prior to the boy slotting it home) one being caldwell who I have no idea how he gets a game worst player Iv witnessed at any football level! His 2nd touch is a tackle as his first is that bad, Same player missed a header bang on halftime that was harder to miss if it had been at least 1/1 at ht beith couldn’t have complained! 
2nd half darvel all over them balls cleared of lines hit posts allsorts only one team looked like scoring then a rocket from a talented player with lovely feet all game 2-0 game over! Not deserved 2-0 for me as they done nothing the whole game.  Just my opinion on what I seen today darvel have 6/7 sore heads in there squad players who for me are passengers.

I have only seen glenafton twice and it was against darvel home & away

Darvel went 1 up today seemed to be cruising then a foul & not sure if it was in the box / not defo big claims that it was in the box  but they score from it anyway so… I can’t really mind of any chances apart from the goal in 2nd half from moff that glenafton created? Darvel had a few scrambles as for the ref he’s a bit weak for my liking cards every minute of the game, just slows the game down. Too much tippy tappy stuff from the back for my liking with darvel the now, 8 passes to go no where too many neg players

big games next week against hurlford who always give them a game then to beith who are the form team in league

How slow & bad was some of that game? meechan is a footballer dressed up, Forfar by f**k I’d hunt him back. Never seen a player so negative with a ball at his feet it’s backwards constantly! Darvel will miss meggatt bigtime, big centre ok with ball at feet but looks slow and was at fault for equaliser. No idea what happened to the 2/2 goal seemed a bit of a weak effort that beat the keeper! I can’t for the life of me see what mick see’s in left back area? McGowan looks lost he’s in the middle of the park more than anyone !

Darvel beat montrose 5-2 does that no count ? There in league 1 they also beat clyde 4-0 there classed as league 1 but are really league 2 so I wouldn’t count that but they would defo hold there own with your alloa’s & Edinburgh cities that I would guarantee!

I don’t come on here for arguments but I must defend mick & can only judge john on what I see off him I get the tv stuff etc from him i understand that puts people off him. Micks speeches etc people having a go at him darvel as a team people hating the money side of things. It’s happening & no one can stop it good luck to them! But there players are not paid anywhere near the figures that are gluing about on this forum there actually laughable . 
 

I want to watch a team try & play football & there value for my £8 whenever I watch them.

im sure at one point every player will have played in spl at reserve level etc im on about current state of affairs they have brought no one in from any championship or league 1 that’s a standard player for they leagues. People who have came in from Peterhead & kelty were no getting there game & there league 2 sides been kind to them!

Mate I asked you that a few weeks ago. Watching them I can’t agree more and tbh they have a few more passengers in there team. 
You actually must go & watch the games that I watch & leave with the same opinion 20 ( caldwell) Keeps playing week in week out he’s actually feart of the ball. He jumps 5 secs to early whenever he goes for a header deliberately not want to header the ball & the left backs a schoolboy ! 

as regards to meechan that only came up as someone mentioned darvel signing him from Forfar and at the time he was the so called best player in the league he was on £60 a week at Forfar he won’t be on anywhere near double that at darvel! Iv never once said I like him if he was to be judged the other night you’d say he was terrible as were 7/8 of them. I do think darvel have boys there that shouldn’t be near the team for going forward Iv never undertstood why he can’t get another decent midfielder to help macca out reilly is slower than slow and no better than any others he’s let go like thomo, he had a bit of dig I think the guy who played against irvine might be ok in the middle of the park for them I hope as ian does too much work & covering for mistakes bit like meggatt trying to cover for McGowan 

also not sure I agreed on moore starting up front he can put  the ball in the net but mackenzie does a lot of chasing down & stuff that you need players to do,I felt darvels lineup looked slow, stirlo is quick and can almost get something at times against anyone having a run at them losing truesdale was a blow aswell as tbh Iv never seen a player who’s forms turned in all my time, I was at that game when darvel played rob roy & he stood out and the next few days mick signed him, I thought that boy will do well he was red rotten for months and no idea what made him turn , I have no idea how tho jordan allan isn’t preferred at left back ( I know himself he maybe isn’t as fit as he once was ) but still when I last seen him he looked ok. I’d even no joke play young max Kerr who keeps getting sent out on loan before the lad McGowan . 
And tbh I don’t like to slag any players but at times some need told there not good enough for the jersey!

Who’s to say if they do get into the lowland league the current squad of players can adapt to the travelling that comes with it? My point is players like meechan travelling far each week possibly moved to darvel for that reason. He’s not came to darvel for money reasons as I would bet my life he’s on £20-£30 more than he was on at Forfar similar to reilly with kelty & the 2 newest signings from Peterhead & kelty. Darvel for these boys might suit them rather than up there most weekends. There’s no gap for me between the bottom 7 teams in league 1 to the full of league 2 and darvel. These boys from glasgow are surely looking for a team like darvel to go to rather than travel with the league 1&2 teams to Peterhead’s & elgins. The Lowland league teams there’s none that far a drive every week an hour max your talking 3s&4 hours some weekends for league 1&2 teams. So I’m sure if you offered the traveling around the lowland league to that of league 1&2 they would take the option of lowland league .

I do have a clue but. I’m stating facts there no one in darvels team on any the figures mentioned. 500s & 800s a week. People are falling for that

as for last nights game we needed 9or 10 players on top of their game but was evident from very early on we were off it and it was going to be a long night , Falkirk did their homework and were miles  better.

and the bottom Line is the club has spent a fortune and we are out of every competition apart from the league , I think we will win it but if we don’t then I would suggest the season is a failure, let’s hope they can go on and win it but it won’t be easy 

You talk sense unlike a lot of people on here . I don’t know john at all and tbh I only see him at the smaller games when I can make it, for instance I was at the arthurlie game & the Irvine game. And have followed them when I can He’s clearly a guy who has did well for himself in life and I have spoken to him in very small doses. I can see where people come from about him popping up on tv etc I get all that but it shouldn’t annoy anyone let him have his glory that’s what he’s maybe put money in to see and have his wee nights on tv. Mick on the other hand Is getting drawn into this bad guy category for having a few speeches on tv. Mick is one of the nicest guys anyone will meet and is a fair guy with everyone. I don’t like seeing people talk him down on a forum that he’s on & slag the guy he’s another who’s done& is doing well for himself in life and long may it continue! I love what he’s doing at darvel and as I keep repeating if I want to go to any game on a Saturday in the wosfl il go & watch darvel whoever there playing for value for my money!
