I went to both televised games out of interest and enjoyed the occasion and last night darvel just couldn't raise their game like they did against Aberdeen but should be proud of what they have achieved no matter how much money they have spent ,nor do I care it's still something people will talk about for years to come and not just the 100 or so regular fans but most fans no matter who you support and going by this thread they are the talk of the steamie . When darvel win the league and hopefully they win the play offs how far they go up the leagues is anyone's guess everyone will still keep tabs on them some hoping they fall in their ass , but history will show it's was done with serious money and that won't go on forever and some people who claim that this team can live on the income without the John gall and QTS simply canny coont.
It will be interesting over the coming years where this team goes and all the best to them and I will watch with interest while supporting my teams .

where am I telling everyone to support & love darvel? I’m saying get off peoples backs give mick & john a break. You clearly joined the ego then & going to both games that were on tv but wouldn’t go to a normal game ?wonder why you went to those 2 games are you jealous of john being on tv you maybe wanted someone seeing you in the crowd eh ?
to say I was there I’m on tele hahamaybe if you stick to going to rangers games they might put you on tv one day they pick out plenty other uggly ones when the cameras go on the crowd !

darvel for me is a team any league 2 player would go to especially if your travelling north to get a game. I see nothing wrong with it it’s an opening for players like meechan & oreilly & a few new players from the junk of league 1 who never got there game !

Darvel would beat Forfar and dropping levels makes no diff if the moneys better. There’s loads of league 2 players have went junior
as they know the level Is probs better than scottish league 2 .
id bet Talbot &’darvel & beith to give any those league 2 teams a game anyday .

Where would you rather go darvel 30 mins down the road for £100 a week or Forfar & away games 200 mile on a sat for £60 … it’s common sense
Forfar have 0 potential darvel have a bit of. If they played on Saturday I know who my money would be going on !

No he didn’t want to travel to Forfar & play he’s joined in his eyes a better team than Forfar & closer to home . He thinks darvel have potential & Forfar have none end off . And he won’t be on buttons but he won’t be on anything near what you think. I’m not sure you realise what Forfar would pay before you start thinking what darvel might …
just incase you don’t know he woulda been on £60-£80 top whack with Forfar so anything over £100 to darvel For him is a bonus

I stated I can assure you not every player who is there is on big money, I know players at other clubs are on better money. These 500s & 800s a week are nonsense. The figures people think are rubbish
no point coming back to me with new signings saying there in better money there’s people in there current squad I can assure you not on 150s a week!

I can also state a fact darvel fc players are not on the money people make them out to be there’s plenty players in that league on more money than 1/2 that darvel team so I’m lost with this money money money side of it all! Is it the fact they have more money to buy these players I don’t know but wages wise yous ain’t a clue what yous are talking about I read on here months ago people saying players were on 800s a week absolute rubbish and I don’t need mick to come on & speak for me. I know for a fact other players in your pollocks your rob roys etc have boys on more money than darvel get.

Maybe not but darvel beat Clyde & montrose so I’d say unless it was a top of the league 1 team I’m no sure he would get a game for them …
if he was that good for Forfar why would they let him go or not give him a better payday… I don’t know for fact but for me travelling weekly with a young family to Forfar & annan& elgin most weeks wouldn’t be for a lot of people. I see mick doing work with these type of lower league players who are at these teams bringing them in but there no coming in to get fortunes a week that’s defo not true .
Better paid than the clubs they were at defo but not by any means the fortunes people shout about !
