Talbot definitely not as bad as has been suggested but on yesterday's evidence it's not a real Talbot like team anymore and maybe the fear factor has gone a little bit from other teams,  tuckers Talbot teams are always based on a real solid spine right down the middle in say leishman, mcgoldrick , white and Spence and Graham Wilson up top,  then there were others spraying the magic about and I never saw that solid spine yesterday despite Talbot still putting on a more than decent show .

5 defeats in 7 games says differently

Bankies grab 3 points in a game where both teams lacked quality, Talbot really lack a cutting edge and giving opposition keepers nothing to do, we need to accept we are in transition with realistic expectations but things need change either shape and additions still required in forward areas.

Bankies were by far the better team and should’ve scored 3 or 4.

Don’t think Talbot had one attempt at goal in the 2nd half.

The run is an international event with 600 runners that's been going since 1895. Far easier to change the date or venue for the game than the race, no idea why this hasn't happened yet. If Fort and Clydebank can't come to an agreement the SFA should order it to be played at Holm Park or give Clydebank a bye.

I’m quite sure the race could start from somewhere else in Ft William.

The club obviously make a lot of money from hiring out the ground but want the money from the SFA as well.

It seems that they’ve gambled on being drawn away and it’s come back to bite them.

Results as expected; maybe not margin at New Abbey.

Less than 3 weeks left but no news of Fort William venue.

Partick, Dunipace, Stenhousemuir (tbc) free; or as noted Strathspey...!

It’s farcical that a club in the main cup competition in the country have hired their ground out for a run!

Where the ref got 9 mins extra time from for that penalty then a further 2 mins after it I`ll never know... looked like he was playing until they scored a winner! A sore one for Meadow who deserved the 3 points and Clydebank must feel like they got out of jail...

Don’t think Meadow had one attempt at goal in the 2nd half other than the pen which was against the run of play.

As previously said, the game should’ve been done by half time.

Seen that suggested, but surely not... it'd be wild even by the latitude Fort often seem afforded by the authorities. It's about 120 mile further north. That's like Hawick shifting venue to Dundee over a steeplechase.

    Unlicensed.

Plenty unlicensed clubs in the prelims

It's been the first Saturday of September for years and it's sold out, much easier to move the day of the Cup tie than the race.

P.S. Looks like the game will be played at Golspie on the 2nd, Fort were scheduled to play there in the North Caley anyway.

Means more travel for Clydebank though, so maybe not.

Could it not be played at Oban Saints ground?

In the latest example of 'Peak Fort William' their tie v Clydebank will reportedly have to be moved elsewhere as some kind of orienteering event has use of the park.

Ben Nevis run that day apparently with over 800 participants.Starts and finishes at Claggan Park

I would have thought crowd was about 150 with about 120 from Linlithgow. We said something similar on the way home that no way could they afford players like that without someone throwing cash at them.

They’ll be a Trojan horse for the next set of chancers no doubt.
