  1. I actually think that is a better interview than most recently. He is being accountable and showing that he is not giving up. I'd rather he stepped aside but at least there is a bit of fire in his belly.

As long as he realises that fans want to see us go down fighting and that means taking risks and trying to create chances while obviously not throwing away stupid goals. We played well in large parts against Dundee. A win against Ross County and you never know what can happen.

Adams, also seems determined, much like Davie, to make rash statements to the detriment of his side. If Davie can discuss the hunger to fight off relegation rather than finances then there may be a chance to get these players into the play-off spot.

  2. Purely based on Footbal Manager logic here, but I am sure one of the ways to help with WP issues is that if you are willing to pay him a considerable wage higher then the average (essentially showing his value relative to the squad) you are more likely to succeed however we are likely giving him a fairly modest wage to start with and this won't have helped our case either.

For me this was worse than the ICT cup loss. You can almost accept a team in a lower league raising there game and getting a freak result. And despite the performance against ICT being worse than this game Dundee Utd were completely in the dumps after the early season clusterfuck of bad performances and sackings and yet we lost to them.

Was that in one of the youtube video interviews or in a print article? I missed it.

Edit: In case anyone reads the quote above and panics, the "he" refers to Obileye not Martindale himself!

Definitely in one of the Callum Carson articles. Just to clarify, he says he doesn't expect he will be here next year not that he definitely would be gone

  5. If he has seen him at the Titanic Cup then it makes sense we are taking a punt on him before making him a Trialist. If you are a young aspiring footballer outwith Europe then European football could lead to far more favourable financial offerings than moving within South Africa further down the line, should it work out. Any agent worth their salt will be advising the European route over a domestic move.

Including this link purely for the fact the other player called up was 'Macbeth “Killer” Mahlangu'
