I know we keep saying it's early days but  can't see where our goals will come from. Alao, We really need a couple of bully's in midfield. Hopefully stay up but it's going to be a long season.

100% behind this team to get it right.

The team was needin changes. He’s done that it’s a mentality tae be a winner doesnae happen overnight.
Patience is needed wi young boys. Thurs talent there. We’ve let a lot o experienced players go at once and the culture needs time to be bred again, too many away at wance in imo.
When tucker took ower we wur hopeless but in 3 years he built a team for the next 20 with wan or 2 teams built roon the previous wan.
Wull he do it again?  Be harder wi the money goin aboot but he deserves the chance tae try.

Gee is by it, you could see that last season. Wise up man. Last pay check and probably pay off his mortgage. Boyd will do just fine. The last friendly he was gods gift now he’s no good enough. 2 games in and these are the shouts haha. Will be a long season.

Boyd is a gid player. We need somebody else.

naebody criticising the boy. You his da?
Gee best years might be behin him but ye should only let players go if you’ve got better. We huvnae an that’s a fact.

  3. Blaming managers is easy….. it’s the board’s decision tae sack managers and appoint thum.
Buffs no been very gid at that lately, although the new fella looks like he’s got an idea.
That’s why I was assuming ye wur oan the committee as yer no for blaming them. apologies for that

Talbot best run club in the semi pro geme fur years  never hear o any interference.

    What agenda? 🤔

Budget being cut? If it was, why do you think that would be?

Told to play certain players? Why would that be?

Asking for a centre half? Would that be because he didn't sign a decent centre half when he had the chance, instead recycling the one's he signed on loan to other clubs?

We've already done the goalkeeper situation. It would seem you want to castigate our u20s keeper.

Looked to me that the committee did everything in their power to support the manager.

Jist going wi what u said pal

In general he did do a very good job at the Buffs. There were some issues towards the end that caused the committee to act.

In general, under Chris the Buffs started most seasons very well. Come the NY, a pattern emerged where we began to fall away and players ended up leaving for a variety of reasons. Chris seemed reluctant to play younger players too to complete the pathway, he was very protective of younger players.

Chris is doing a great job at Beith, good luck to him. He'll be in the away dugout at Buffs Park this weekend, I'm sure he'll receive a warm welcome.

Just reading this threed. Is Funky Monkey a committee man?
Blaming Strain Gormely the lot but the Buffs committee punted a guy winning the league and then had a guy Funky monkey was bigging up et the stert o the season.
I though the buffs wur decent last nicht.
Gormley was a gid player for years in the juniors and it sounds like Benny ken’s there was interference. The monkey disnae find that funky.

Pollok, Clydebank and Kilwinning, only know themselves what is best for them.  They have tasted the SFA Cup and realized the potential of money they can earn from doing well and might realize its worth their while not to enter the junior cup next year to concentrate on the SFA Cup and their leagues, only they can tell.  Whether your for the junior cup or not, it not compulsory and the WOSFL and the EOSFL have allocated dates for the junior cup, but lets make things clear the WOSFL do not need to make allocation and imagine if they are told NOT to allocate dates by the powers above then that's what would happen.  Also if teams were playing shadow sides in the South challenge cup and full teams in the junior cup I think and expect the junior cup not to last long as pressure would be put that the shadow teams would be in the junior cup

You talking abut Yoker, I know teams this year who have last a lot of money from travelling far, paying £800 for transport and only getting £240/£250 towards their travelling and they had to do it a few rounds, So Yoker made money last year but there were others who didn't and defiantly others who didn't this year, so the comment that its lucrative, is not for all teams and some are hurt badly.
In the main SFA Cup, Darvel made alone, from round 4 and Round 5 via tv money and exit money - £95,260 and that's without including gate money from preliminary, Round 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.  Pollok made from exiting the Scottish cup via tv money and exit money, £15,250  and again that's without including gate monies from preliminary, Round 1, 2 and 3

I don't believe there will be a national Non-league tournament in the foreseeable future as far as I'm aware there is not enough appetite for it and in reality's, the South challenge cup is the Regional cup but as there is no Main Non-Scottish Cup, The South Challenge Cup is classed as the main tournament in the south with only 108 teams in the Scottish Junior cup and with 163 this year and the tournament is far superior and with harder teams involved.

I do think however It would be great to have the following each season
    1. a Full Non national Cup, (teams participating in the main SFA Cup would have choice to play in Non National Cup or Not)
    2. South Challenge Cup
    3. WOSFL cup, EOSFL Cup and SOSFL Cup
    4. Another domestic Cup for each of the leagues

They’d be mental wi the money oan offer no tae have a go at the junior cup.
Like I said last four roons, Ye’d make money.
A tie at Dalbeattie isnae gonnae fill the coffers unlike a geme v anyone of the top 10 in Ayrshire.

Talbot went oot v Cumnock and ye had wee Gall counting bodies the roon before. I’m willing tae bet talbot got mare fae the Scottish than they huv for reaching the semi o the south.

The regionalised draw in roons 1@2 means thurs a likelihood the minnows go oot early whereas ye live for the trips to a new grun. Penicuik V Muirkirk has a bit o mystique aboot ot fur the wee teams.

South might weel be the favourite choice o tha league however it’s no got hawf the romance or the rewards of its junior counterpart.
East Kilbride bigger lowland side brought 10 folk Tae Auchinleck. Mibee that’s why we got back in. point 14 oan yer mans sheet said any excess funds the region committee gets…mibee he’s wanting talbot in the final to swell the coffers.

Pollok were barred fae it, Clydebank and Kilwinning (at least wan will be back in it next year) wouldn’t bet again others when the treasurers clock oan tae where they make money.

I ken South cup is mandatory doesnae mean teams will nae play shadow sides as ye get a hat and a balloon fur winnin it.

4 later stage games in the Scottish pay a teams wages four a season like Yoker.

should be wan national tournament to replace them aw and 1 regional cup.

Maybe a league cup if ye go out the other wan in the first 2 roons.

We talk about the SFA and the leagues an aw that but we need this cup pish sorted. How can ye no get the organisers roon the table put a proposal tae the SFA and stop being wee tadgers - ma cups bigger than your cup?

The South Cup is mandatory for WoSFL clubs as it’s a recognised SFA tournament.

The Junior Cup is optional and should be played midweek if clubs want to play in it.

Pollok,Kilwinning,Clydebank,Renfrew Whitletts,St Cadocs,Drumchapel,Bonnyton,Glasgow Uni and all Div 4 etc are not in it along with the vast majority of EoSL league clubs.

Pollok were barred fae it, Clydebank and Kilwinning (at least wan will be back in it next year) wouldn’t bet again others when the treasurers clock oan tae where they make money.

  9. The issue wi the imbalance o the fixtures is cos Kenny has missed opportunities tae gie the Talbot midweek fixtures when other teams like Darvel, who hud played mare games, hud fixtures.
That’s facts. 2 instances o that. There’s a 4 geme swing oan Darvel. Beith went oot tha cups so they’ve hud it plain sailin.

Canny help the weather but Um guessing 3/4 Saturdays huv been lost tae the weather?

    Junior Cup is dead.

Clubs are only hanging around looking for a pay out.

It’s no pal……..teams want prize money and the revenue runs bring.
Ye get no a broon hapenny fae the South challenge cup unless yer drawn at hame.

That’s why tha big clubs are still entering.
some clown said it’s an external competition so’s the south cup. I Ken what wan the treasurers wid like tae win unless yer no richt in tha heed.
