  1. Telfer too lightweight for me and, apart from Montrose game, we haven't played well recently. The Clyde game was as torturous to watch than the Edinburgh game. Too cautious, not direct enough, not quick enough. My heart is in my mouth every time we concede a corner too! That said, recent clean sheets and points in the bag are a positive but, without Frizz, I fear for us against Falkirk and Dunfermline.
  2. Enjoyable game. Pars are the best team we've played so far and we totally got out of jail with the disallowed goal. Ref was poor today, even by League 1 standards! Special mentions for the bridies (delicious) and much credit to your groundsman, that pitch was mint today.
  3. FB doesn't need to seek too much to catch your attention I see!!
  4. A wee birdie told me last Saturday that if Thistle got Cole McKinnon on loan from the Rangers, we'd be in for the return of Kyle Turner!
  5. That's indeed what I meant! Thank you for highlighting. BTW the parking charge is card only from next week onwards!
  6. Stream of conscience here....McCabe out-paced last night, needs to be in midfield. Please sign a brick shithouse defender. Dycey so far forward he was getting nose bleeds! Pens were shit. Ball was holding right up on the new pitch due to the ground up tyre pieces flying everywhere. Ballantyne looks a player. Ball on deck tactics are what we've been shouting for the last 2 seasons. Last but not least, LOVED seeing youth getting a chance and stepping up to the plate! I salute you Cole Gibson! Lucky to stay on the park but a great debut. Righto, had my tuppenceworth, away back to facebook for memes and AbiTV! Ta-Ta! PS Paying for pies with credit cards will never feel right!
  7. Looking out the aftersun now. What a glorious day. Looked like a stroll on a rock hard pitch. I'd have put Hutton on and played Josh Rae up top!
  8. Dear Club 1924 Members, We were hoping you had forgotten about the ties. Sorry for the delay but we have been super super let down by our suppliers who mostly all died of COVID. Be patient, keep sending us your money and you'll get to buy your season ticket a few days before the great unwashed get their grubby mitts on them. Apologies in advance regarding the imminent delay in sending out your season ticket cards. It's tradition that these will not be available until early September to coincide with the new home kit launch. The kit suppliers and the season ticket suppliers have really really been hit hard with COVID. Please bare with us while we try to get our shit together. Look at the pics of our new pitch while you are waiting. It's mint! Love Airdrie FC
  9. If that happens then it'll be karma for Ally Roy taking the pish the last time youse humped us! Super Ally got subbed and stopped in front of Murray to roll his socks down. A total "Get it up ye!" moment!
  10. We're defo light up top. Salim is still an unknown quantity. Will he ever be fit? Will he ever find form? Fingers crossed he comes good.
  11. Always at the coo's tail with players and season tickets and jerseys. It's the Airdrie way!
  12. Gotta love the whole pre-season manoeuvres. Every c*unt has an agent, every agent has a stable, it's pure soap opera!
  13. Can't argue with Falkirk Network's wish list. We're all League 1 experts here but McGlynn isn't, just the same as Ian Murray knows f**k all about The Championship! If only we had a young, ballsy, passionate, popular new player/manager with an intimate knowledge of where we're at and what we need to do to get out of it. We've done well to sign up Ballantyne and retain Frizz. Onwards & upwards!
  14. So we lose Murray, Aggie and Dylan but keep Rhys, Dycey, Frizz and Smith plus add Ballantyne and more to come? I'll take that left field gamble right now thank you!
  15. Agreed! Early last season I was saying to my mates that he's future captain material, always comes across as a passionate, hard working organiser. Street-wise with a bit of arrogance too. Was always impressed at his organisational skills on the park, particularly the way he talked the young yins like Brody/Scott McGill though games. Good luck to him, I'm sure it won't be dull with him in the hotseat!
  16. More than happy with this. Let's hope quality attracts quality. Suddenly next season doesn't look so bleak. A very bold move by the club! Bring it on!
  17. If you get a season out of him like we did last season you're in for a treat. Thanks for the memories Dylan.
