I think the issue with Rose is that he was clearly about the fifth or sixth choice to be signed as our number 9 and thanks to Mathie everyone knows it after he reeled off the names that we wanted in the first place.

This. I also doubt they had actually done much research into him if he was that far down the list. He was probably just a name on a list until we realised pretty late that he might be required.

  2. Since Ayr are absolutely depressing to watch my entire focus is on Atlanta until January.

Tomorrow has to be another win considering the S*ints play Carolina. We beat them away so surely we do it again in the Benz. Glad to see AJ Terrell is cleared but doubt he’ll get every snap. If Jessie Bates has another pick I may well fly over and propose to him on the spot.

Jordan Houston doesn't even get a start for them and he was starting for us last season. That's frightening.

Frightening but no surprise to anyone who watched him. An utterly shocking footballer and he cracked 100 games for us. Chuck any of our current full backs down there and they’d get exactly the same treatment however.

The last of that is complete delusion. The support appreciating yet another defeat when you consider the position we're in is crazy, no doubt a hard working 1-0 defeat will keep Bullen in a job for another week.

I looked around myself today and I could see that the majority of the folk that were there are only there for a day out, as is the case with most away games. That’s why they clap like seals after every defeat.

Today wasn’t bad. We’ve seen plenty worse. But I can’t think of many games over the years where I’ve gave as little of a f**k as I did today. Didn’t expect anything, didn’t get anything. I have no excitement right now for any of our games. Relegation battles where you’re fighting to just maintain the status quo are as bad as it gets.

  5. There’s an argument that statistically Atlanta has the best defense in the league at the moment. No touchdowns given up in 2 games and no rushing touchdowns given up all season to RBs. If I keep my red tinted specs on then Jessie Bates is also the DPOY.

Cannot wait to get steamrolled by Dallas at home in the Wild Card.

  6. This would genuinely get this sport stopped. Tim Boyle and Desmond Ridder have got to have made a deal with the devil to have professional careers. There’s no way these guys are in the top 32 of QBs in the entire country.

  7. Sad to see the Pac-12 go tbh. Prefer the regionalised conferences rather than this new money grabbing cross country shite.

No idea what the bookies were thinking having Oregon as 10 point favourites. Very overrated in every department. Odunze and Penix will get the credits but I’m a big fan of McMillan for the Huskies. Makes for a very interesting Saturday.

I've just picked up my Hamburg derby ticket for tomorrow, bought a beer and pack of stickers while I am in and that cost me in total €16.

Just to see Ayr never mind the rest would be €25!

Does the Hamburg derby come with the experience of getting your arse sniffed by a dug in the pishing rain watching 22 players who have accidentally made a career out of football? That’s where my extra €12 goes.

  9. Fair fucks to the boys today. Ridder had a decent game other than the dreadful INT. Defense held up very well and a few fringe guys making some big plays which is good to see. Jessie Bates is an absolute king though. And Bijan has the potential to be a Falcons all-time great.

Most comfortable win of the season and it was the biggest game. 3-0 in the South feels nice even if me and 10 pals could probably win it.

  10. An absolutely mental end to the Iron Bowl.

Bama has a bad snap on 3rd and goal and they get pushed back to the 30. 4th and goal for the game and Milroe finds Isaiah Bond in the corner of the end zone with 40 secs to go. Auburns final drive and they fumble it all the way back to the 1 with the clock still running. Manage to get a snap on 1 second and they throw a pick six.

Nothing beats college ball at its very best.

The hype around Amartey is based on desperation and an increasing sense that Bullen can’t get anything right and freezing him out is just another example of that.  I’m not sure it’s based on too much more than that.

The hype around Amartey hasn’t just surfaced as of right now. It was based on decent performances in the League cup and the question over why he never got game time has been asked since the minute he was dropped.

Amartey has shown very little for Ayr.  The cup game against Alloa and the goal against Inverness.  Otherwise he has been pretty ineffective  I think we’re just getting a bit desperate and Amartey has gotten better and better the longer he was out the team.

Most players tend to be quite ineffective when they’re sitting on the bench with a yellow bib on. If Amartey hasn’t shown anything then f**k knows what the other 15 odd have.
