  1. there’s a reason why this hasn’t been introduced and it was to allow everyone contributing the minimum to have an equivalent vote in decisions. It might be possible to allow a lower monthly contribution (entry point to FSS) but those people would not have the same voting rights as others. Its much harder to administrate also. And additionally there may be a number of contributors who drop their monthly payment to the lower level if that is introduced. It is being discussed as are other ideas. One major new initiative will be announced by FSS in the next week or so.
  2. I think they are trying their best on paper to get the people who nominally pledged to donate then have not. My guess is that this was a daft wording rather than what they meant to say. They meant to try and get people to realise that things are not great but instead implied a blame that they didn’t really mean. I think if they apologise and clarify what they meant there’s no benefit from obsessing on this. Regarding the income from the increased crowds - it is making a real difference to the first £400,000 the club budgeted as a target for from match related income but the other £400,000 (that we know will still be a shortfall) needs additional income from Patrons and/or FSS or some other source of funds. That’s still quite a way off being generated.
  3. Zero shots on target. Are you raging or putting it down to second string?
  4. That was one of the most one sided games I’ve ever seen. I think Thistle didn’t have a shot on target. We had many.
  5. This was the point I lost respect for M& M. The Falkirk way was always to try to beat the old filth and sometimes we did. That heavy loss contributed to the malaise at the club and the decline thereafter. Play your strongest team always. And if we can beating Dundee would be a great thing, we get the confidence boost, we get an additional rounds money which is needed now and the chance of an away day at one of the Glasgow derby team’s gaffs which would solve some problems We need to go for it and let’s hope our recent signings keep up their promise
  6. Back at Rangers. Will return once fit again
  7. That figure was mentioned over a month ago at the FSS public meeting. It’s not changed and the money from the League Cup has helped a little ( £50k). The projected loss is not good but it’s been discussed on here several times.
  8. Watch the highlights and see how Alegria was far better than people here suggest. The keeper did well and he was fouled which normally would get us a penalty if the referee wasn’t a contrarian. 16 shots on target v 1against and some people on here still not happy. Ffs get some perspective.
  9. I too was emailed offering me hospitality packages. I’m pretty sure everyone you saw paid in some manner to be there. All directors pay for their season ticket including the FSS fan directors. That as far as I know has been the case for a number of years. No one is getting any sort of serious freebies.
  10. There’s an extension clause I think if you read the article
  11. I got this wrong before. We get 20k for taking part in this round and another 20k if we qualify for the next. 15k for tv. and we might be seeded as one of the top teams if we win both next games although financially a Glasgow derby team would make us more dosh. i got those figures from an official source so they are correct. I said 50k before in a post a few weeks ago. Sorry.
  12. If you are a Fss member you should get a mailing today with link for tickets for the meeting with John and Paul later this month. Tickets are going quickly already. It free with a pay bar in behind the goals. if you are a member and don’t get it please contact FSS via the website.
  13. The only costs of significance so far are our payments to the web designer-which are kept to a minimum else no one on the committee has asked for any expenses. I cannot think of any significant amount being spent.
  14. Not happening. The budget is almost gone. Perhaps one at most signing, rest loans. This has been said publicly several times now. The club has no extra money unless we raise it or we do well in the League Cup.
  15. I know we are all waiting for a striker ( and we definitely need one) but we scored in every friendly or bounce game with what we have. If we’re tight at the back then I’m moderately hopeful for this cup. Looking forward to real football tomorrow
  16. just announced - some good soul has donated this to FSS: Calling ALL @FalkirkFC fans Join Falkirk Supporters Society by 12pm on Wed 22nd June & YOU could win 2 places in the Brockville Lounge next Friday night inc a complimentary bar . Prize worth £100! Draw will include existing members already subscribed & new subscribers. Prize donated by an FSS committee member.
  17. Rennie apparently stopped giving advice on football matters but remained helping changes to background structures etc based on his knowledge of his other clubs’ functions. That seems reasonable to me. Miller failed to cover himself in glory with the remaining matches and I’m guessing that’s the end of his management dreams. Given the issue with Rennie appears to be the players feeling he didn’t have the playing career to demand respect ( which is stupid of them but there you go) so failing to play hard for him then it all makes sense. It’s a bloody Scottish thing but then you’d think they’d play their hearts out for Miller if that was the only reason. Perhaps it was too late by then. Rennie was a decent guy - but footballers are a strange lot and even an accent matters to them.
  18. If you don’t get the mailing by tomorrow morning ( it was sent in two tranches, half in the next hour) I’ll try a different way of sending it It is really not FSS - it’s people’s isps seeing a mailchip mass mailing as spam hence we’ve moved from mailchimp to another provider
  19. Signs at stadium tonight said road would be closed on days of the gig.
  20. He’s been injured since the first week. He didn’t train for the entire week before Peterhead. Of course if you are paying top buck you are going to want to play him but with Dowds out with a hamstring then what choice did the manager have? Then Wilson sent off then perhaps the signing of a young striker might be explained more easily?
  21. The meeting was very low key. Directors sat at different tables and chatted with people. This was how it was planned to go. Obviously no one is happy but at least you can talk directly to this Board if you want.
