  1. ALF is leaving according to the Record and this interesting snippet re: Montgonnery from the Bounce:

I’m glad you’ve called out the patronising comments and his mannerisms. He’s utterly unlikeable and I’d stomach that if he was a good manger but he’s rotten.

One of the worst in recent memory and thats saying something.

The CEO was right to want him sacked after the St Johnstone game and IG should’ve told the Board to f**k Off when they said they wouldn’t stand behind another sacking.

We qualified for Europe 4 years in a row, finished in the top 8 12 times in a row, had a 3rd placed finish and won 3 trophies since we got promoted.

We've been shite recently but let's not downplay what we achieved previously.

Can any team outside the OF match that in the same timeframe?

What do your instincts tell you? You always appear to be a more level headed sort than many on here.

    Two possibilities to my mind.

    1. We tit about like we always do and quote words such as 'potential' 'big club' 'infrastructure' etc while finishing 6th/7th
    2. Bill actually turns us into a side.

    My money's on #1.

As an outsider, and doubter of your new link-up, can anyone give me an idea of the quality of loan player that you guys are expecting to faff about on the pitch next season?

Do you expect the better loan players to arrive in January, like this season?

Quick answer, we've no idea. The only in print things we've got to go on is Foley's promise of transfer funds and Montgonner-y saying that Marcondes and Maolida are the standard for future recruits.

Can we attract such quality, Will Bill cough up, Will Monty still be in a job come June 1st...stay tuned to find out.

Hibs were alright Tommy, nothing more. Still too slack with our passing for my liking. The free kick was a thing of beauty but overall I thought Marcondes was poor as he kept giving the ball away.

The St Johnstone pies however were tremendous, chicken curry and steak and chorizo on offer. 😀

Marcondes highlight was running straight into Maolida on the byline. He's a way too casual showpony for me I'm afraid. I'm amazed he wasn't hooked earlier.

    At least Boyle looked faster.

I was one of the mentalists who went up to this and my findings were as follows:

    1) St Johnstone pies are genuinely good. My well padded pal had 2.

    2) St Johnstone - Mitov is an excellent keeper and the covering midfielder is good. The rest were awful which was probably a good thing given our defence.

    3) Hibs weren't really any better than they have been in the last few weeks and Monty is still an absolute tadger but a few more shots went in. Thank you Paul Hanlon.

That's exactly as I saw it. Hibs PR will spin it as a turning point though.

I know what response I'll get, but is it really embarrassing for Hibs, who've generally bobbed around mid-table-Championship, to have lost more often than not to us, considering we were one the best teams in the country for around a decade and most of our meetings have likely come in that timeframe?

We're past the stage of embarrassment these days, but for our clubs' relative sizes and supports, we should be doing so much better than that.

Our new DoF?  Christ on a bike.....

Not 'Hibs Class', ole Malky, is he not?

According to a hibee I know, Hanson and Stevenson both off to us (raith) next season....

I reckon Hanlon still has at least a couple of seasons left in him. Less sure about Lewis. He stays fighting fit that's for sure but looked miles off the pace last time I saw him on the pitch.

As cocky as they are it's mostly the same with the West Edinburgh mob too...

Absolutely. The only difference being that they think that third is an achievement. That said, if we ever get round to reaching the dizzy heights of third again in the future, we'll probably get drunk off it too.

It may depend how much the Black Knights group kick off with the Gordons.  None of them are in this for Hibs to be finishing Bottom 6.  It's been 3 years since Jack Ross finished 3rd and it's been bang average to failure ever since.

tbf, bang average failure describes the larger part of our entire history.

Not sure about that @Lyle Lanley  Nothing will happen till there is a board meeting and I wouldn't expect that meeting to happen till sometime this week when the ramifications of the Bottom 6 are assessed (i.e financial implications of missing out on home games with one of the uglies and a home derby).

Failing to finish Top 6 got Wee Shaun his jotters. The precedent was set. I don't see how they can keep him and there is 2 weeks till the next game.
