  1. Assuming a 4-3-3 would you go with something like this @Lyle Lanley? Marshall Cadden Rocky Porto Cabraja Kenneh Tait Hendo McGeady Youan Tavares
  2. Bushiri didn't have a horrendous game against Falkirk, Porto did. Kensall hasn't sacked anyone. He's been sent by the board to sack them. The previous leadership did deals with alcohol companies, the leading cause of domestic abuse in Scotland. That's disgusting. '0 evidence Ron spends his own money'. 1. £4M cash to buy from Farmer. 2. £1m cash for working capital. 3 Loaned club the money to install the new hospitality suits this summer. All their in the accounts if you wish to analyse them. 'It goes against everything Hibs have existed for'. And achieved relatively f-all as a result. Football is business. Want a community club? FC Edinburgh is a stone's throw away. 'Relentless negativity' - caused by the mindless. He's delivered our only top 3 finish in 15 years and been to Hampden more times with him in his time with us then the same period prior to his arrival. Hibs fans have hardly come out in numbers at Hampden either have they? 'He's sacked every member of staff that knows about Hibs'. Perhaps because they've delivered all that failure you were describing? Making them incompetent idiots perhaps?
  3. 'We are a total mess' - Nope - 43 new commercial partnerships, playing budget up 40%, Infrastructure upgraded, hospitality sold out. 'Ran by incompetent idiots' - Nope - 11 players recruited including 3 internationals with more to come, £6m in player sales this year with first option buy back on our best player. Run by very savvy people. One pint of facts coming your way and it's on me.
  4. Very fair points re: engagement. No argument there. Any CEO tasked with sorting a shirt sponsorship, loyalty scheme, advising HSL and failing massively on all three, ain't a great commercial CEO however. Currently running a homeless club in the lower leagues too, such is the demand for her leadership expertise.
  5. Things aren't great at Hibs but nowhere near as bad as the bedwetters make out. Unpopular facts: Bushiri is statistically our best defender so far. Kensall is doing a superb job commercially and is wiping the floor on that score with anything Saint Dempster achieved. RG is spending millions of his own money, not going for cheap options. Marshall and McGeady weren't on pennies last season either. But I think the one thing for the conspiracy theorists to actually watch out for, is that I genuinely think it's Ron's plan to make Hibs attractive to Edinburgh's elite and to price the working class out of watching us as far as he can. I think he's sick of the relentless negativity, the shitty attendances and he knows they're not going to provide the money long term anyway, because they haven't got any. He's wanting to take Hibs to the prawn sandwich brigade and he's dropped a few clues now that he's going to change the mindset of the club/fanbase even if the results don't change it for him.
  6. At a canter via beating Stirling Albion 5-4 on penalties after a dross 1-1 draw you mean? If you haven't seen us attacking with pace, turning defence into attack at pace, winning the ball back with pace; then try facing the pitch next time. The issue as I said, is midfield and attack linking. two players of quality will solve that. The football on show is flawed for sure but miles better AND FASTER than the coma inducing Maloneyball of last season.
  7. How do you know we wouldn't have lost to them, did we play them? Watch the highlights of all bar the Falkirk first half to see us attacking with pace. Josh Campbell, no he wasn't. He lost the flight of the ball three times and got screamed at by Porto for constantly drifting inside when he's supposed to be playing LB. Magennis - I fear you're right. 2007 was our cup winning side. And it's me talking nonsense aye?
  8. We can do that with any side. A geriatric goalkeeper, a perma injured striker, a failed lower level Belgian league striker, a league 1 reject midfielder, 2 perma injured midfielders a Rangers reject and Josh Ginelly. Looks magic to me.
  9. Teams with two in the middle rarely struggle against a Hibs midfield three.
  10. Marshall Cadden Porto New CH Carbraja Hendo Magennis New CM Tavares Youan McGeady That doesn't look a bad side...on paper.
  11. This 'we look worse than last year' chat is utter bollocks. The ball is played forward and won back far faster now than under Maloney. We attack with pace now We've got a proper goalie now. We don't take four passes and 15 minutes to get the ball from one side of the pitch to the other anymore. Our issue is that midfield and forward line aren't linking up. One decent midfielder plus Magennis being fit fixes this. Our main issues are the names Newell and Campbell. BTW, unless you're the old firm, just play 4-4-2 in Scotland. It's the most successful system employed by any team in the country outside the top two.
  12. We're defying even the law of probability by how often we get it wrong.
  13. I wonder why it's proving so tough again to sign a CM and CH?
  14. LJ on a zoom call to lapsed ST Holders last night was asked if he's in the market for a midfielder. Answer: Naw Reckons he can make the ones we've got better. On that basis, I predict we sign a new midfielder by this time next week.
  15. Also Brian Houston out, Stephen Dunn back in at board level.
  16. Somebody on .net reporting that we've got a big tall defender coming in from L1 England. Mid 20s apparently.
  17. I wonder if he'll do a Ricky Bobby, 'If you're not first, you're last' quote next?
  18. Was the loan into permanent for Rocky a club cock up as we love to believe or a quick buck having set the buyer up first?
  19. Macey was a signficant downgrade on Rocky. Marshall is a much stronger option and we have two keepers behind him AND we may get a fee for Macey. What's not to like?
  20. In other news, its being reported that McGinn has had his contract extended. He's not what we need if we're pushing for Europe but he's a very solid and honest pro to have in the squad.
  21. Not highlighting it as a major problem for Hibs. Highlighting that we're not free of it as if we own the moral high ground.
  22. From the old East stand 'up the IRA' graffiti to our casuals to the fans we've banned recently for being charged under the 'offensive behaviour at football and threatening communications act (Scotland 2012)' to the boy who attacked the Rangers player at ER that got Dempster on the TV to the Herald calling us out for it, to the 'go home yer ****' chorus at Tynecastle. Lennon even raised the issue after one of the Derbies. How many examples from the last few years would you like?
