  1. Bring your raincoats tomorrow Aberdeen folks horrendous forecast
  2. Yeah. Not sure how they're doing it but if there's football kids clubs on for the holidays at least that might be the right demographic for kids who want to go to the football. It'll be at least a bit more exciting for the kids too than a home game against Livi with it being a near full house etc!
  3. The weather forecast likely to impact the uptake in the Ormond on Monday as well. It's meant to rain nearly all day on Monday including being heavy at around 7 o'clock. Hopefully changes a bit by then... Parents won't want to take the kids if the weather is pish.
  4. I'm open minded regarding the documentary. I've taken from the info its aiming to be something that tries to understand/show why fans are passionate about football in Scotland, what makes the club special to them etc. They're at least not just trying to copy Wrexham etc. although would loveeee if they could reignite a connection between town and club like that!
  5. FYI. Without doubt he'll read here & WAP. Get your anonymous feedback posted ladies and gents
  6. Can't see the seat thing happening. The comment was basically "as we replace seats we'll make them blue".
  7. Also will not be a testimonial match for Murray due to "taxation reasons". David's will happen but needs a fan committee arranged.
  8. Wasn't mentioned I don't think but the info was given in response to questions rather than him giving details of everything done so could well be the case.
  9. I'm sure someone will give a full report but as usual Webb talked well. He was giving out free tickets to fans to give to friends for Monday. Confirmed they are indeed looking into a hotel on site. They've been looking at shop locations that will be run by existing 3rd parties. He explained a bit about what's happening pre match on Monday. Won't spoil that though. Looking at a new scoreboard to get in before the Motherwell game if the cost is reasonable. They're opening out an overflow for the Muirton from Monday. Speaker in the East Stand that was malfunctioning has been replaced. The walkout music is going to be changing as well. Others can add anything I've missed.
  10. While it was only one game so should be careful taking too much from it in isolation. What I've taken from the East Fife game versus the rest of the group games is if we can get the senior players out and therefore the strongest 11 there is a decent side there. Outside that strongest 11 there's a significant drop off in quality and experience - the combination of both is a concern. You do worry we'll see repeat of the likes of Alloa performance regularly if 2-3 of the likes of Carey, Wright, Sidibeh or Kimpioka end up out at the same time for a number of weeks. Especially if they end up wedging the likes of Connor Smith into a 5 at the back shape.
  11. Our average gate reduced by circa 800 last season from the season before. There was only one game last season outside the Old Firm where the crowd was above 5000. There's been little reason for a number of seasons that would encourage a 3-4 game a season fan to attend anymore than that.
  12. American owner types in sport generally don't put up with managers giving the impression there is disagreement in direction. If he feels Levein is publicly airing stuff that should be private that's more likely to cost him his job than being shite on the park at this stage
  13. Levein has little internet in Saints in the long term. It's all about him now as the manager and what he wants now. If the fans are happy and actually want to attend games though, long term he'll get more money.
  14. First time we've seen it from the start this season on Saturday. He did question Sidibeh's fitness though. It was a weird one. He came back to pre season then after a couple of weeks of pre season was given a week off Hopefully he does but most of last season it was one of the other as well we'll see.
  15. Opportunity to put Aberdeen under a bit of pressure from the start. Test the nerve in the first game in front of an expectant support etc etc etc. Levein will do the opposite though and treat the game like it's the Old Firm. 10 men behind the ball and let Aberdeen have all the ball to grow into the game. When Saints do get the ball it'll be an punt up the park in the vague direction of the lone striker. That was the game plan against Alloa as well Well that's the positive spirit isn't it... I hope they learned something from Saturday but I can't see it. It's been the same story under the previous couple of managers. They change away from their usual game plan, we get a positive reaction from the players and a positive performance. The next week they revert immediately back to the crap game plan that hasn't worked for months and struggle. If they do indeed go back to their 5-2-2-1 then 2-0 easy win for Aberdeen without Saints laying a glove. 7 wins in 2024, 3 of those are Brechin, East Fife and a shite Morton side (failed to beat Livi twice). Not convinced the form against Premiership sides is going to change much when going out there looking to shitfest a 1-0.
  16. There's wishful thinking... Then there's this. The more likely explanation is he's in contention to start at left wing back on Monday.
  17. I preferred it when we exclusively signed Alan Preston's clients. Much better than just anyone who's played for Hearts
  18. Where's that quote from? He'd do it tbf and not give a shit what people say about him after it either.
  19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1e58043kyno A former professional footballer who admitted the serious sexual assault of a child and possession of thousands of indecent images of children has been jailed for four years. Ian Heddle, 61, originally from Dunfermline, was charged after being caught with more than 270,000 indecent photos and videos. A police investigation led to him being further charged with the sexual assault of a child, believed to be aged about eight, in Thailand. Heddle was a midfielder for a number of Scottish clubs in the 1980s and 90s, including St Johnstone and Dunfermline Athletic.
  20. We could benefit from this one. If he's got the the ability this is a make or break loan for him at Hearts. If it's another meh loan he'll probably not get a new deal and it's only a step downward from there. On the other hand though if he's able to step up, impress and prove himself as a good player at this level he'll earn a new deal or a better one elsewhere. We can hopefully benefit from that motivation for him. Not seen enough of him to pass comment on his level though. He'll be better than Olufunwa though... Welcome!
