Looks a promising signing for us and a deal that benefits all parties. Who are the two right-backs MB says are waiting in the wings for the future?

1. Dundee United
2. Partick Thistle
3. ICT
4. Raith Rovers
5. Queen’s Park
6. Dunfermline
7. Ayr United
8. Airdrie
9. Morton
10. Arbroath

I watched RV’s post match interview and it stuck me just how different he is to OC. He said they have analysed QotS and will look at the right game plan. Seems a world a way from OC’s usual ‘it’ll be a tough game, but they all are at this level’ patter.

Anyone thinking we’ll get anything bespoke off Adidas is off their head.
It’s true, I am off my head.

Our “historic kit partnership” with Adidas now sees our away top being an exact match for the home top of……….both Johnstone Burgh and Camelon Juniors
My hope is that next season we may get something more bespoke and individualised. It is the hope that kills you

I meant financially and more importantly administration-wise. I don't care if we get relegated as long as we are financially afloat and independent enough to stick to "the plan". That's make or break for me, and I suspect it's the same for MB and RV.
I see. Thanks for clarifying.

I think this season is going to be make or break for the club. If we do not start creating some revenue from player sales, it can get pretty dark pretty soon. I wouldn't be surprised if MB and RV decide to abandon a sinking ship.
I’d suggest we calm and temper our expectations of the plan. MB’s contract length indicates he’s aware that this kind of plan takes time. I don’t see the next season or two being anything near make or break.

Harsh. All businesses or organisations must look to use all resources to hand to maximise income and not rely on any one person.
This latest design - in my opinion - whilst nice, is not a Queen's Park strip. And I fear may not be the income generating item it could have been.
Then again, I may not be the demographic it is aimed at. I hope it flies off the shelves.
It should have been bold, I do not mind testing traditions; however, this is bland at best.
I was referring primarily to the sponsorship deal with Haughey’s company ‘City’. Much like Newcastle, with Sports Direct. I personally find it odd when the money a club are paid for sponsorship, comes out of the same ‘pot’ of wealth used to own/fund a club.

Oh my days. I was super excited about a clean, sharp and class adidas look. That shirt is beyond dreadful. In fact the whole kit is.
Also, a sponsor linked to benefactor/owner/whatever he is. Are we Newcastle United in the Mike Ashley era?
I fear we are becoming too corporate and soulless.

I appreciate fans of other teams are curious about the few Friday fixtures scheduled, as I’m sure some QP fans are too. And I’m not suggesting the fans of other teams, who have posted so far - are doing this.
However, in fear of it happening again, can I plead that we please postpone round 2 of ‘QPFC shouldn’t be allow to play Friday’s chat’.
I appreciate that there may be some frustration to come from opposition fans, based upon last season’s Friday debacle, but for us QPFC fans, our wee thread has been hopeful, exciting and positive (minus the price of a Pepsi) over the past few weeks and that’s not something we have been able to say much for the past few months

Inverness away first day. Let’s hope Jake doesn’t score from a mazy run again.

Constantly raising my eyebrows at the quality of players and the range of clubs we’re recruiting from. Just a few years ago it was Ayrshire Juniors and relying on ex-players to scout on midweek nights. Incredible!
Hopefully some of the Young QP can upgrade to the first team soon too.
I have a feeling, that Cameron Bruce, Lewis Reid and Lennon Connelly will be in and around match day squads quite often. Amongst other younger players throughout the season.

I am optimistic and excited. Aggressive and taking risks, these terms and his aim, makes me hopeful we’ll address our tendency to get bullied.
Also, I think tactically this guy will be levels above OC.

Big news day for us Spiders! Exciting signings, allowing us to start the process of seeing the team coming together.
Also, super excited about the Adidas deal. To me, makes us look a level above, in term of professional. Was never convinced by Macron output.
Daydreaming of an Adidas x Irn Bru shirt.

Exciting times ahead for us I feel. Not backing us to win us the league, may end up in playoff mix. But for me, more importantly I would love to see us build a side, bed in young talent and play some exciting football next season. Then build from there and see what comes our way.

Wait until we start winning games again and the BBC will have us on the Friday night 7:45KO slot.
Am surprised how much I enjoyed the Friday night football.
I don’t mind the odd game switched for TV, but last year just had a bigger impact, as took a lot to make those non televised Friday games, with other commitments.

Fair play to the club for the prize freeze and reductions available on ST. Plus the move on young spiders. Opportunity to truly grow the fan base now.
The main thing I’m pleased about though, is a return to Saturday 3pm football. Jeez how we’ve probably all missed that.5 -
After what felt like weeks of silence, the club finally speak.
They spoke to say - ‘we are playing over there, but having to play here, until over there has hosted a big game and been done up. Oh and tomorrow at 10am we’d love for you to give us your hard earned money, but we don’t plan on telling you how much of it we need, until 10am, when if you dither over the cost for too long, you may miss out on a ticket for the first month and a bit of games at Lesser. Tara for now’

My wish list for the new week.
1) Announcement on where we will be playing for the season, in advance of any ST talk.
2) Announcement of new Manager, or even just an update as to when it might happen.
3) A signing, any signing.
I’ll take 1 of 3 by Friday.

Realistically I’m looking at this as positions needed for the first 11
GK: Ferrie
RB: ?
CB: ?
CB: ?
LB: Robson
CM: ?
CM: Thomson
AM: ?
RW: Thomas
LW: ?
ST: ?
Subs: Jarrett, Williamson, Bannon, Healy, Eze, Heraghty, BrownCan see Eze (especially with Coyle away) and Brown leaving this summer also. Savoury basically a man down for the season also. Yikes we need some good signings
I reached the same first xi conclusion as you. But I’m feeling hopeful that Bannon can be offered/and take chance to become a starting CB for next season. I think he is developing really well, and, plays the game smartly, in my opinion. The last game at Somerset Park showed that I feel.
I wonder what happens with Cammy Bruce? Will next season see him more involved as he continues his development?
Also, I feel Scotty needs a loan to a L1 club as he needs a consistent run of games and the chance to show the new boss what he may be able to offer, more long term.

Exactly a bit of perspective as opposed to the embarrassing spectacle of the group of so called fans rushing down pitch side to hurl abuse at OC and the players after loss of the 3rd goal on Friday
Exactly that, those fans were an embarrassment. Clearly they have forgotten that it’s their team who have over achieved this season, and last - and that their team is made up of human beings.

From his first ever pre-season post match interview, I was hooked. He speaks freely and honestly and seems to be enjoying his time with us so far.
