  1. I'm sure it was posted on the Cove forum that he's actually from Motherwell. I think he'd be a pretty good and solid defender for us but the question is, would McCabe want him? We are generally set in our ways in playing out from the back and I'm not sure how good he is at that. However, it would create a better balance in defence if you have one ball playing centre back in Dycey and one out and out defender like him. That's what I'm thinking. You can affect how we play but you can't affect how other teams play - and a lot of the teams in this league just shell it. He did a similar role as you say for Cove - just domed everything while the midfield and attackers did their thing up the other end of the pitch.
  2. Think there is but I'm 99% sure you can just fire in the main gate on Bath st, it's one of they grounds you can literally walk fully around the pitch without interruption
  3. Looks like Cove are going to let Morgyn Neill go out on loan. Not a priority position for us and he's a bit marmite but I'd 100% take him. I know McCabe works well at centre half especially as manager having the game in front of him but a back two of Dycey and Neill would be ideal for this league. Have the two of them heading boulders and the rest doing the fancy stuff that's been so successful for us of late. Would provide the ideal balance for me
  4. Liking that team, shows we have a bit of depth as it's still a pretty competitive XI but it also shows things are still tight. There's not quite two decent players for every position but it's getting there. Good chance for ATS and Telfer to get a bit more match fit too
  5. This is so true. I feel at this level in order to consistently pull off a style like we are trying you have to have lots of a very specific profile of player - as well as a smattering of experience in there too when it comes to keeping the back door locked. We're very close to it to be fair, and I'm personally not going to have any knee-jerk reaction to yesterday. For example, we're not going to go down to 10 men after 15 mins every game to force the manager into gambling. Some sort of plan B, more defensive minded tactic is always worth having a team drilled in though so they can adapt to different situations. Just going at teams every week - many of which are of a similar level or have stronger squads on paper - is gonna bring it's highs and lows.
  6. Randomly bad record against them eh? They've actually pulled off some quality recruitment, Creagan, Kyle Jacobs, Fonts and that wee fanny Kyle MacDonald to name the best of them. Think we'll do them tomorrow but, based on nothing but a hunch. Think they're still sitting somewhere between a proper outfit and an amateur gang and they're there for the taking
  7. ATS would be a pretty sound squad addition. Can play right across the back, versatility which is very handy with a thin squad. Definitely wouldn't judge him on his stint at Falkirk last season, place was a graveyard under Rennie. (First post, woohoo!)
