I'm with Lyn-Marie... too far away!

Apart from the obvious, where exactly is the West End of Aberdeen?!

He told me once but I've forgotten. It's a well-known big hotel type thing on the main road north out of the town centre.
I could trail back through all my posts the time before I met L-M and was in Aberdeen (January I think) and find out if you like!
Nah, it's alright!

People who actually can't say some words properly.
A few examples. I work in a bar and hate it when someone orders a bottle of 'Millers' I don't see any fucking 's' on the end of Miller!
I had a big argument with my next door neighbour a while ago as I was convinced it was Millers!
What bar do you work in if you don't mind me asking?

Nag - Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup final. I mean - what the f**k is the point? There fuckin pish, and will get hammered, whereas Hibs are a quality young team (who raped them for most of that game last night) and would have given Celtic a really good game. Now there's no point in even watching it.
More like a sly grope than a raping... maybe if they could have scored at least one goal in the two games against them it might be easier to have some sympathy.

Chelsea can never be classed as "pretty"
How about "petty"?

That takes me back a couple of years RiG. We must have gotten sent over fifteen letters from Aberdeen Councilabout my flatmate having to pay council tax and each time the amount varied wildly ranging from 27p to about three and a half grand. Ended up turning into a game and whoever's guess was furthest away would have to make tea.

Ash - Goldfinger
First single I ever bought.

I put fake tan on late last night, and must have got distracted and my hands are black as anything as i've forgotten to wash them! Not only did i have to come into work today, and go to meetings....i also have a meeting with service manager and director that we have to go to and i am working in my part time job last night. I have scrubbed my hands for the past half hour and made no difference whatsoever!
I got some Nivea moisturiser with a "hint of tan" at Christmas... except I didn't notice the "hint of tan" bit until the next morning when my face was somewhat more orange than usual. I thought it looked pretty obvious but no one else seemed to notice until I told them and even then they said it didn't look too bad.
My fingers were very orange though and, like you, scrubbing them was of no use!

The Departed 8/10
Very, very good, but not quite the masterpiece of all time some people have been making it out to be.
There're lots of similar, equally as good, movies which haven't received the accolades that this one has. Is it just because it was Scorcese's 'time' for adulation and awards?
That said, it is an excellent film. I thought Di Caprio was brilliant in it. I often think he's miscast; he looks too 'boyish' for his roles in say, Titanic or Blood Diamond, but he's perfect in this.
So as to not ruin it for anyone...
Thought it was good up until the ending. Seemed to me they didn't really know how to end it so just thought, "f'k it, we'll kill them all".
Compare it to The Usual Suspects or Se7en and I think the ending loses it a couple of marks.
And yes, that was partly just an excuse to use the Spoiler function.

Watched idlewild on Saturday. As amazing as ever. The band still got it.
Not really a fan and wasn't expecting much... but they were faaaaaaaaantastic tonight. Really, really good.
Hazel, I think the Holloways have just been touring. They were up in Aberdeen recently.

I stick with large singles, they're more likely to pay out than speculative acca's, although they do return less, and you have to risk more cash.
I know it's hardly rocket science but this is very true. Just over the past month I've started reducing my accumulators and going for doubles at most and I'm doing a lot better.

I've been called a goth twice today due to the fact that my nails are painted black from the weekend and not changing it until tonight - and the whiteness of tiredness isn't helping it!
One of those people who interview random people on the street said to me today, "excuse me son, are you aged between 16 and 18?"
I'm twenty-three in August.

John Motson , doesn't have a clue. "it's going o be 4 minutes, is it?" yes, that's why the 4th official held up a board with 4 on it!
Doesn't know half the players till Lawrenson tells him either!
He also said about the late equaliser in the game at The Riverside last night. It was in the 66th minute!!!

Didn't know he died so young though, only 26. Plane crash Wiki says. Shame
Interesting (ish) fact... he recorded (Sittin' On The) Dock Of The Bay only three days before the plane crash.

Bore.
This is the best debate/arguement I have seen on here in ages, and the main reason why I have spent longer than 10 minutes on Pie&Bovril.
Exactly. Who the feck wants to read about bumping into trolleys at the supermarket?

i agree with this completely, but the decision to post/keep quiet isn't mine to judge. I can understand why it makes people uncomfortable to be honest. Some of us have serious issues in our lives that we would be reticent to reveal on an internet forum.
Probably should just let it lie, but it's nothing to do with the mental health issue IMO. As SaintSam wrote, it's pure attention seeking. Rowan's not the only one who does it but she's by far and away the worst.
Not that it's really that big a problem mind.

I'm totally with SaintSam on this one.
It wouldn't be a problem if she just posted what was wrong but it's like someone going into a room of people, sitting down and then sighing and shaking their head constantly so they'll get asked what's wrong.

What attention seeking!
If you have to bore us with this, Rowan, could you at least just say what is wrong, instead of trying to lure interest with your vague posts?
Seconded.
