Wallace Duffy subbed on, wtf.
Beat me to it. I assumed he’d be on for Longstaff, with Kerr going into midfield. Not even that much impetus.

£15 well spent to watch the Caley centre backs pass it between each other all night. No attacking threat whatsoever. I actually thought Billy McKay had swapped with Cam Harper at one point and was playing left back. Criminal to have McAllister on the bench - I would happily bring him on for Longstaff and Anderson combined.

At least we’ve scored some goals. Will need more of those in the next couple of weeks.

Come on Airdrie

… and of course Queens Park are winning.
Despite BBC saying “all eyes” would be on Hampden and Inverness, no mention of either game from commentators. Anyone able to say how the Caley are going?

Second best defensive record in the league.
Joint best hot potato record in the league.
Duncan Ferguson: worth every penny.

Here’s the most optimistic take I can muster:
Airdrie will beat QP, we will draw with Morton in an eye-bleedingly bad game, we’ll stay out of the playoffs on goal difference.

Inverness have a goal in them.
Never a less true word spoken.

One of the disadvantages of Dunc’s preferred (only) formation is that none of our wing backs can cross a ball. Cammy Harper has been one of our better players this year, but every time he goes for a cross I lose hope.

Have bbc actually serialised an interview with Scott Brown? Typical old firm obsession.

The commentators and pundits clearly haven’t watched Caley much all season. They seem surprised that we’re doing a good job keeping the ball, calling for “more of the same”. That’s all we do! We have become an outdated meme. It’s like late 2000s Arsenal, but without any goal scoring threat whatsoever.

I hope he stays. If the choice is a squad rebuild by Dunc or a squad rebuild by [unknown manager] to be appointed at [unknown time] I would definitely take Dunc.

What a curious response to the imagining of a vaguely positive outcome to this season and of course, you are completely wrong.
Like I was wrong last year when you said we’d make the playoffs and I said we’d finish sixth?

Yet again the vocal and dreary doomsters are proved better at being performative than predicting and fifth is a finishing position that is eminently achievable.
You actually live on another planet! The only goal is staying up.

Continuity has always served us well, when there is chopping and changing at this club it disrupts any progress forward and is forerunner to disaster
Generally I agree you want a bit of continuity, but our squad has got worse and worse each year for the last three so I have no issue with a major rebuild. The question is whether we have the right people (or the funds) to carry out such a rebuild!

An alternative to this:
Big Dunc and Scot Gardiner are sacked tonight. The club tell nobody. There are murmurs around the stadium tomorrow, the manager is nowhere to be seen during the pre match warm up. At 2:55pm smoke emerges from the tunnel. Bah gawd that’s Yogi Hughes’ music! Yogi leads the team onto the park, there are shroo balls and good laddies everywhere, Caley win our final 5 games with 90% possession in each. Billy Mckay actually touches the ball in the opponents half again. Balance is restored to the cinch
Says a lot that reading this put a smile on my face!

Feel like every result around us goes the wrong way. Ayr winning tonight puts us four points behind eighth. Bring on the play-offs.

Very offended by Airdrie fans singing our song.

He cost his team 3pts. If he stands up then Moult doesn't score
Even if it was that simple, he only cost us two points.

The Spiders bringing in Sheridan was a shrewd move and could be enough to save them. ICT, and their alleged financial struggles, for 9th place.
Nothing alleged about it - we have well substantiated financial struggles!

Deal. We’re not quite at the must win stage yet however it’s a must not lose.
Exactly. I think both teams will play like it’s a “must not lose”, eyeballs will bleed and we’ll all get a point.
