  1. One of the disadvantages of Dunc’s preferred (only) formation is that none of our wing backs can cross a ball. Cammy Harper has been one of our better players this year, but every time he goes for a cross I lose hope.
  2. Have bbc actually serialised an interview with Scott Brown? Typical old firm obsession.
  3. The commentators and pundits clearly haven’t watched Caley much all season. They seem surprised that we’re doing a good job keeping the ball, calling for “more of the same”. That’s all we do! We have become an outdated meme. It’s like late 2000s Arsenal, but without any goal scoring threat whatsoever.
  4. I hope he stays. If the choice is a squad rebuild by Dunc or a squad rebuild by [unknown manager] to be appointed at [unknown time] I would definitely take Dunc.
  5. Like I was wrong last year when you said we’d make the playoffs and I said we’d finish sixth?
  6. You actually live on another planet! The only goal is staying up.
  7. Generally I agree you want a bit of continuity, but our squad has got worse and worse each year for the last three so I have no issue with a major rebuild. The question is whether we have the right people (or the funds) to carry out such a rebuild!
  8. Says a lot that reading this put a smile on my face!
  9. Feel like every result around us goes the wrong way. Ayr winning tonight puts us four points behind eighth. Bring on the play-offs.
  10. Even if it was that simple, he only cost us two points.
  11. Disappointing lack of beards based on the rest of this thread.
  12. Nothing alleged about it - we have well substantiated financial struggles!
  13. Exactly. I think both teams will play like it’s a “must not lose”, eyeballs will bleed and we’ll all get a point.
  14. They explained at the meeting that once planning permission is approved the club will sell the shares in the relevant company. So the club doesn’t directly own the land, but it owns at least some shares in the company that owns the land.
  15. Sadly I don’t have an Inverness postcode, but as part of the Caley diaspora I would encourage any of you who can to email your councillors. The answers set out in the club statement seem perfectly reasonable to me, it would be ridiculous for the council to block a business opportunity and a bonus for the club for the sake of a few NIMBYs.
  16. So it’s a one-off payment, but no regular income going forwards? In which case, we still need to take other steps to become financially sustainable (like getting rid of Gardiner), otherwise we’re just kicking the can £3m further down the road.
  17. Three quarters of the way through the season, left to play every team once more. Season so far: First quarter - 8 points (2 wins, 2 draws) Second quarter - 10 points (2 wins, 4 draws) Third quarter - 12 points (3 wins, 3 draws) Looking at it that way, there’s a general trend of (very minor) improvement even since we got rid of Dodds. If we can keep that going, and get more than 12 points from the last 9 games, then it feels to me like we should just about survive this season.
  18. Morton fans rattled and at each other’s throats at the prospect of their first loss in 16. I promise you boys it could be much, much worse!
  19. Second half tonight was the first time I’ve really thought we’re going down. Like, proper sick in my stomach dread. Arbroath showed talent and determination that we simply do not have. Hard to see how we’ll stay above them.
