  1. Does anyone know the best way to take home a corner flag from the cup final? Asking for a friend…
  2. How long before QP run out of other places to play home games and start coming up the road to play at Caley stadium? We could use a bit of extra revenue!
  3. Fair point! I guess I meant the highest ceiling/best potential - us on our best day was better than anyone else on theirs.
  4. Aye, but if we didn’t shit the bed for three months in the middle of last season we would have won the league. We had the best team in the league that year, comfortably beat Killie, Partick, Arbroath, etc. over the course of the season and then chucked away points to the likes of Hamilton. It was a golden opportunity of a season wasted.
  5. Can I interest you in Scottish Championship Manager of the Month for April, one William Dodds? I’ll also pay his train fare from Inverness to Mount Florida.
  6. For anyone wondering, 6th in the Championship is our worst ranking in the pyramid since 2001/02, which was equal. We haven’t been lower than this since 1998/99 when we were promoted from the second division as it was at the time.
  7. Some “highlights” this season: - struggling our way past Brechin and Stirling Albion in cups - getting pumped at Firhill twice - that night at Cappielow - losing to Motherwell was fair enough, but the way we played that night might be the worse I’ve ever seen us - losing to Hamilton four times out of five, including twice in one week - a recruitment policy that brought in Steven Boyd, George Oakley, Ryan Barrett, Daniel Mackay, Max Ram… But Billy Dodds will get a new contract on the basis of three results against Livingston, Kilmarnock and Falkirk.
  8. Hi @sophia, just wondering if you’re willing to admit you were wrong here? ”It’s ok to change your position in the face of facts…” Looking back, I did change my position. I initially said we might finish above Morton. Then I said we’d finish behind them. What’s your latest position on Billy Dodds?
  9. Are they not reading and writing in full sentences yet in Ayr?
  10. Same lineup as the semi-final, but with Carson starting instead of Duffy. Roddy MacGregor and Austin Samuels to come on as early in the second half as we can get away with. Need them match-fit ASAP
  11. Player: Billy McKay Young player: Jay Henderson Goal: Billy McKay’s second against Livingston. The replays don’t do it justice, but from where I was sat I had the perfect angle and it was incredible.
  12. For travelling supporters on Friday, Dunkeld is the chippy of choice on the A9 for me, although it’s a bit early in the drive. Surprising lack of good options in and around Aviemore, which would be the best spot in terms of timing.
  13. Aye - we lost 3-0 in a semi-final in 2019 and I don’t remember an exodus anything like that lot yesterday!
  14. 1) very strange to still be bitter about a game that you won a whole year ago 2) last year the championship side did play a lot more games in the run up to the play off final - the schedule is more fair this year, which is good
  15. Mental that today was, possibly, the first of 9 all-or-nothing games in a row for us. If I remember correctly, Roddy MacGregor made a return from injury against Ayr late in the season last year (before getting injured again and missing the play offs…). Was nice to see him on the bench today. Would love to see him get a run-out on Friday night.
  16. If we don’t make the play offs, I will claim that it’s fine because it allows us to focus on the Scottish Cup final and our European run next season.
  17. I look forward to the daily updates on how many tickets Falkirk have sold for the final…. “Zero… still none… zip… sweet hee haw today…”
  18. Sounds like we’re 90% on the same page. Have a great day tomorrow mate!
  19. Uncharacteristically bad take from you Sandy. We don’t know how bad their injuries are, so alleging that they’re skiving is baseless. Presumably the club are monitoring their development. They’re also paying for private healthcare, and will presumably be updated by the professionals. I think both players have enough goodwill in stock to merit a contract extension, if budget permits.
  20. That sponsorship in general is worthy of the Queens Park treatment.
  21. I think the problem is we don’t have any great options at 10. Samuels is a CF or a winger, Doran is handy off the bench but not up to pace, Harper has had his moments but I think he’s best further back. I would say Samuels, Shaw, Henderson is our best “3”, but not convinced on either Samuels or Shaw at 10
  22. Given how much Raith and their fans love the Caley, I’m sure they’ll do their best to win this and support our effort to make the play offs.
