  1. I’m nervous about this one - we really need to win, which usually seems to mean we don’t.
  2. Not convinced that paying players’ wages is a charitable purpose!
  3. Carson at CM is quite a different offer from MacGregor or Doran. Also great to have a bit more depth. Dunc seems intent on using wing-backs, and without Kerr the drop-off after Harper and Carson is massive.
  4. I see the podcast is teasing a “chat with one of our top performers this season” - assume that’s Spoony? Unless they’re back on talking terms with Scot Gardiner already?
  5. With Wotherspoon and Welsh now out of what was already a pretty weak squad, this really does need to happen. Trusting that Big Dunc has some other pundits’ children to bring in!
  6. Was Welsh not already dropped as captain? Or was that just temporary as he was injured?
  7. The accounts to June 2023 (which are due to be filed with companies house by March 2024) were published on the club’s website today. https://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/news/8206/ANNUAL-REPORT-AND-FINANCIAL-STATEMENTS-FY23.html
  8. Now that the Spoony cash has been freed up, hopefully big Dunc will be forking out on some new talent. (P&J, you can have that one for free…)
  9. Enjoyed hearing from Deas on the last one too - could maybe do a series of interviews with recent departures?
  10. Wotherspoon is bound to have lots of good offers - clubs with bigger budgets who are closer to his family would be mad not to try and poach him.
  11. Am I imagining things or has Shaw played as a wing back in our 3-5-2 system?
  12. He’s head and shoulders above everyone else in the squad. Will be a Christmas miracle if we manage to hold onto him for the rest of the season!
  13. Malky away - anyone able to block Roy MacGregor’s number on big Dunc’s phone?
  14. Looking forward to a couple of games down in the central belt in December to see it in full flow, but I like the idea of a back 5 in theory. Wing-back seems to play to Shaw’s strengths (workrate, pressing, physical) while still allowing him to get forward, and we haven’t had a good left wing for a long time (Dan McKay only looked good occasionally, then we replaced him with Longstaff…). And it puts less pressure on each individual defender - pressure which we’ve all seen they don’t cope with too well.
  15. A truly wild career trajectory. To be fair to him, I can imagine a worse life than getting paid to play football and then using that as an opportunity to travel and live all over the world! That said, not a lot of goals for a 6’5” centre forward….
