Over a month later, just a wee reminder in case anyone's on here fancies this. Our first tournaments get going next weekend (the 'Euro Super League: Spanish Open' ), when the English Premier League season starts, so do feel free to sign up before then!

Pretty sure you're absolutely right. People have obviously maligned the split, but if 44 game slogs are the alternative...! I don't envy all those English Football League teams schlepping around doing that

Was listening to an interesting point of view on a podcast yesterday - basically it's not so bad for the English Premier League, as they can use the Saudi league as a way to jettison second-choice players (Henderson, Saint-Maximin, half of Chelsea). But in Serie A, the Saudis are taking away teams' main players. When you get to the real elite in their prime (MBappe, Salah, Haaland et al), they're not really willing to touch it. Which might sort of leave us where we were already were with the Euro Super League - non EPL teams begging for it as a way of trying to catch up/keep pace, but EPL teams saying 'we don't really see the problem'.

Hi everyone I’ve created this game that some people on here might enjoy - the Football Masters Series. It’s a predicting game (more like a series of mini games) across the whole football season. Every few weeks there’s a different type of competition going on – sometimes guessing results, sometimes picking teams you think will win, choosing games you think’ll be goalfests and the like. You’re obviously trying to win every time, but over the season you’re aiming to do well enough to climb the rankings, qualify for the grand final at the end of the season and earn that most mythical of titles, Football Masters Series champion (oooh, etc). There’s actually a tournament during the summer break too (picking how you think the English Premier League will finish up), so you could go on and play right now if you wanted. But you only get one shot at that, so maybe best to sign up for now and wait until nearer the start of the season. Especially when absolute beasts like ..em.. Declan Rice and.. checks notes.. Eric Dier.. are still roaming the transfer window plains. Anyway, definitely do have a look and sign up if you fancy it.
