So why the rush to appoint a new manager??. Ben Carson is in place…….we should’ve kept him while we had a really good look at the options. If that meant the full season, so be it. Instead we’ve jumped in feet first again, just as we did with Spence, Grierson and Deeney……..and appointed Martin Ferry. Oh, I can see the comments on Facebook already……”Meadow through and through”, “knows the club”, “graced the shirt with distinction and knows what it’ll take”……oh pleeeaaasssee. Still, looking forward to local derbies with Buffs, Winton and Vics once again.K

Can’t argue with any of your points Hammerman…..all bang on (excuse the pun ). You sign 18 year old players from Whitlettts or Dalry with potential…….not twenty somethings who are not very likely to get much better. The real problem is our lack on consistency…..we’ve got decent results against Hurlford, Cumnock, Pollock and Talbot but managed to lose to Cambuslang twice, Petershill and Arthurlie…we’ve even been thrashed by the Buffs, and everybody is beating them at the moment!! The Board have done a great job with the ground and its infrastructure to deliver one of the best Junior grounds in the Premier Division…..unfortunately , if things don’t improve, it might finish up being the best ground in the lower leagues.
