Late to the party here, but the postponement at the weekend is entirely due to Dundee being manky as f**k and not solely a Dundee FC issue. Having worked in the water industry, and on projects in Dundee specifically, that whole area of Dundee still has a Victorian pipe network clogged full of shit and I'm certain that's why nothing's draining away considering the long term weather. To paint a picture, below is the sort of stuff we were dealing with on all the streets off Clepington Rd, and Dundonians are drinking and washing out of this . So aye, we should go easy on the dees for the drainage. And for the lack of soap, really wouldn't make a difference.

For me the Gordon issue mirrors what we saw from Ando after he was appointed captain. They have leadership qualities, but as soon as they're given the responsibility their game crumbles to shit. Problem is who would we give the armband to instead? Considine and McGowan the only 2 even remotely suitable, and even then wouldn't be ideal. Highlights the lack of genuine leadership and heart in this squad... would be lovely to have some of the characters from a decade ago

Stylistically and going by everything Macca has said so far you wouldn't think there is much crossover. I admit I've zero insight into the mechanics of the scouting process, but I'd have assumed they're fishing in pretty much the same pool as before/usual and they'd have the data available, and it's a case of looking at the pile that Davidson discarded! Over-simplifying it no doubt, but I can't see that it would be starting at ground zero. I'd say that if anything, any slow recruitment is attributable to waiting on league status confirmation.

I guess that's as close as a manager will get to directly admitting the season will be brutal unless quality signings are made. Thing is, we need to see more movement on this quickly before he starts to sound like he's just calming the mob with what he thinks we need to hear. Whilst I understand he was only appointed late on in the season, I struggle to swallow the whole 'behind the 8 ball' piece. We're meant to be a top flight club with some semblance of structure, what the f**k was Gus doing all that time? Still, first 2 signings appear to be decent regardless.
