Tommy Robson came over to speak to the fans and it went quickly downhill. A few "f**k offs" exchanged in both directions. Robson very animated, which was surprising given he's usually quite level headed. Not a particularly healthy way for anyone to express their frustration.
Oh dear!

What happened at the end? I left just after the whistle.

All sorts of klaxons going off here. Referencing a pre-season game and no change to the approach, sprinkled with LinkedIn speak. Add to the fact we have no idea if he’s actually our fucking manager or just temporarily taking the team.
With about two exceptions, sack absolutely everyone at Queen’s Park Football Club.
Seriously?

Presume we can buy tickets at the ground on the day?, just in case I suffer a lobotomy between now and 2pm tomorrow which renders me mentally unfit and therefore keen and eager to go!
Snap! And yes

One of the biggest issues that the blazers have failed to address is getting a full time comms person on board so statements like today don't happen. The fact that they talk a big game in the press but still rely on volunteers to put out official statements is an absolute joke.
All official statements ought to be cleared by the chief executive and/or president. Are they?

This is reminiscent of the sacking of Gardner Spiers. He had been sacked but had agreed to stay on for a couple of games to help the club. Of course the fans weren't told and some of them hurled abuse at him. An appalling incident but at least we are keeping up one tradition namely cluelessness.

Blown away by how awful that statement is, zero idea if that’s permanent or interim appointment.
What does "permanent " mean in the context of QP managers?

We were about 30 seconds away from going into Saturday in 10th place. We’ve been rank rotten this season but the last week has really set in about how realistic it is that we could get relegated come May.
Can’t say I have any confidence for Saturday
Even when we have been playing well Morton have bullied us to not being able to win. I have zero confidence that we will not lose on Saturday but hey maybe Santa will make an early appearance this year.

I've been to quite a few games this season, including this afternoon. Had to fight for it today against a physical Kilmarnock side? But they earned their victory, despite having one player sent off in the 2nd half. They have been very good all season, and are well deserving of their league position.
They also deserve the chance to play at Lesser infront of a reasonable crowd, but I won't hold my breath.
One the games I watched was against Celtic at Lesser. It was my granddaughter's first ladies match.

A few years ago I went to a couple of the QP ladies matches. They weren't very good. Today they beat Kilmarnock and are 10 points clear at the top of the league. Congratulations to the players and staff for the massive improvement. Now let's see what can be done with the men.

Ok I take it that’s a no. I have no time for racism in any form and while that is obviously wrong why do we accept the bile that comes down from the stand at two particular grounds in Glasgow. I grew up in Glasgow and have been there with qp , sat in the stand with my then eight year old daughter and was called far worse than what mackay’s email said. So it’s rightly wrong to call out comments on skin colour but you can say anything you like about their religious beliefs.
You should know by now that it's one rule for us and none for them.

Fair play to the 280 odd QP fans who sat to the bitter end and applauded your team . Your reward, I guess ,was the best seats in the house for Alston's top right peach .
It was a very well taken goal. Unfortunately.

He's also walked into job after job ever since being outed as a grade A c**t. His next gig won't be in the Premiership, but if we keep up this run of form, Veldman goes and Haughey decides he wants more of a say in who his replacement is to be with a view to keeping us up, I reckon there's a decent chance he goes after Mackay.
If Veldman does go (and I'm not sure that he should ) then bring back Billy Stark.

I was eulogising about Billy Stark and his wonderful team on another topic and it prompted me to fact-check how long he was with us before creating those wonderful memories. Barring a couple of games, it was three full seasons. I know it’s different now, professionalism and money and all that, but everyone remembers that amazing run that started in January 2007 with 10 wins and a draw with seven games shutouts, plus beating Arbroath and Fife home and away in the play-offs. Nobody remembers finishing 6th in the bottom tier the season before, being trumped by the likes of Cowdenbeath and Berwick.
I’m not taking any shine off Billy and his boys here. Just saying, sometimes patience is better rewarded.
I really didn't want that season to end.

A few daft questions:
- is online the only way to buy a ticket?
- how close to kickoff can you buy a ticket?
- if you were in the market for QP merch, where you can you get it on match day (I rashly assumed they might sell stuff to a captive market on the concourse when I was at the Thistle game. I was wrong)
Thanks!
Yes but during office hours (closed on Saturday) you can get a ticket from the office. Online purchases upto 15:30 on match day i.e. 30 minutes after the game starts.
The supporters association sell a limited amount of stuff. Small shop beside the catering.

Ashamedly just realised the last time I was at Hampden was the day we were promoted with ‘he’s here, he’s there, he’s every fackin were’ Graeme Weir scoring inside the 1st minute. Loved him, remember him popping up with a winner in injury time against Ayr after they equalised late on when both going for the title.Anyway, whiskey festival? Where can I park please?
Thanks
The club issue parking and other information the day before the game.

Never heard of it.
Although the error has been attributed to commentators David Coleman or Frank Bough, it was Leitch who, when the Scottish football team Raith Rovers won a match, said "They'll be dancing in the streets of Raith tonight". This was seen as a display of ignorance since Raith Rovers play in the town of Kirkcaldy.

We’re actually called ‘Raith Rovers’. Please correct the thread title.
How old are you? Have you never heard "they will be dancing in the streets of Raith"

Clearly should be an easy win for the Spiders but then again maybe not. I'd be happy with a narrow win for us.

Clearly Barry Robson didn't learn anything from Veldman's making ill advised substitutions at Raith.
Or do experienced managers make rookie mistakes.
