  1. I just hope its finally the end of the Lady Gaga inspired songs
  2. Had to take a social media sabbatical over the weekend after Saturday. Not so much due to the performance but more the roasters on social media and that wild facebook group. Big Ricco taking a bit of a beating but it was an absolutely thankless task what he was having to do. At times there wasn't another Thistle player within 20m of him and that ridiculously soft yellow he received meant he was walking a tight rope (with Stanway already away by that point). A lot of fight and grit from the team I think we can take that as a positive. Falkirk were really wasteful with the ball at times that may have let us off. As much as Ablade did well with his goal think him and Casper had a bit of a culture shock with the pace of the game up here, think it could take a bit for these lads to acclimatise. Felt last season that win against QP really kicked our season off and running. Got to hope its same again this time round
  3. It's not a great start but for context, yeah 1pt at home Morton was disappointing. Away at Raith was a bit of a slog, the conditions didn't really allow any form of football to be played and we were beat by a pen, fag paper between the two teams on the day. Of course this Saturday will be a tough test away to a team riding the crest of a wave at the moment and I actually think the bairns will come out and have a bash and try blow us away which could play into our hands as I think we are at our best on the counter. We'll be a different test than you have faced in the league so far. Queue Falkirk 2-0 MacIver double
  4. It's so far from must win us. Aye its not been great yet. We are far from the finished article just now. Even if Falkirk do win, I won't be hitting any panic button's yet. Let's just remember we were 8 points behind a Falkirk team in L1 with a handful of games to go and won the league.
  5. Thats fair enough I suppose. In hindsight shouldn't have tried using that card I skimmed last week
  6. Must have used the "Morelos" calculator for that figure of £300-400k
  7. Probably sounds about right, you'd think with some of the signings made we've stretched the budget. Obviously feels like we are in a worse situation because of the injuries at the moment.
  8. Added in the chance to see John McGlynn's horny, invincible Bairns side? Think you could be looking at 1,500 at least!
  9. I would agree with that. Should still be that facility at grounds especially our level and below
  10. Tell you what after trying to purchase my ticket for Saturday. It's amazing how much simpler the fanbase platform is than that guff! About 20 clicks ande a suspected fraud message later, payment taken.... Patiently awaiting ticket
  11. Just don't see it. If he's not happy being bit part (or no part) at St. Johnstone he's not exactly going to be delighted getting 10 - 15 mins every 2nd week. With his age, injury record and probably his big wage would rather go for something different. Although not identical to Brian or Ricco still in that sort of mould.
  12. I did think myself that both these lads would maybe get a League club this year after spells in WOSL. I'd suspect that maybe its a balancing act some of the teams in L2 might not have the budget to bring a lad in and also pay for travel expenses for training twice a week and a game at the weekend and with their lack of 1st team experience its a real gamble. Both signed for teams pretty local still at a good level in the West Premiership. Would imagine they'd be able to match anything most of the L2 teams could pay as well. Both still young and never know a good 1st half of the season could maybe see them get a better loan come the 2nd half of the season
  13. If push came to shove. I think I'd probably rather Zander filling in at RB again than big Was going forward.
  14. Wonder if there is potential for him to fill in, in one of the winger slots as well if need be? See he's played a bit for Brighton 21s at RM. Next port of call I think is a striker. As much as Ricco has been excellent when coming off the bench in short stints, I'd be concerned if Graham gets injured and leaving Ricco to carry the can. In an ideal world you'd have Tomi back in but thats sort of went quiet from the rumours earlier in pre-season.
