  1. Will be between Raith Rovers, Greenock Morton and Dunfermline Athletic from what I have seen so far.
  2. We well and truly got our dinner handed to us on Saturday and can have no complaints about the result, in fact I was relieved it was only two goals. In that last season we met in league one I can remember Falkirk coming to our place and winning 3-1 in a very similar game and we learned a lot from that so hopefully we take the defeat and learn from it again this time. But as I say we need to take our medicine this time and kick on and hopefully give a far better account of ourselves next time we meet.
  3. Deleted my last post as it was wrong of me and apologise for that. I'll try again being less of an a******e about it. Hard one to call with Morton's poor form going into this and Airdrie having an absolute mare on Saturday. Another interesting factor is Morton being renowned for the more physical approach to games and Airdrie have struggled when facing this. The big question is can Morton press Airdrie like others have very successfully this season and if they do can Airdrie come up with a different approach to combat this. I am expecting a big response from Airdrie on Saturday and them having a bit too much for Morton and the points heading back to Lanarkshire.
  4. Be interesting to see how we line up against Morton after Rhys's interview and comments in the press. Fully expecting Watson and Aitken to come back in on Saturday for sure, not really sure what other changes will be made if any.
  5. That 2nd half on Saturday was terrible and I am just glad between fate, poor finishing and Quality goalkeeping it was only two goals against. Whilst I think any panic or calls for change of management are completely ridiculous after only 5 games, But I do think people have a right to being very angry and some slight concern for sure. The 1st Half was OK but over the 90 mins Falkirk looked like a tam hell bent on revenge and winning that game and we simply could not match that and began to play right into their hands as the game went on, So you have to acknowledge and accept Falkirk stopped us playing and got it spot on . Bitterly disappointing. Looking forward I would like to see the pen this week for a real experienced head in the midfield if possible there must be someone available on a free or loan as it seems Dean and Rhys are both not going to be back anytime soon. Next up is Morton, A team who look utter garbage and have been really struggling and are in a far worse position than ourselves. For now, I think this will really show us where we are at because on the back of Saturday if we come away from this game with nothing then serious questions need to be asked. We know what to expect from Morton, and we know they will be up for the game but after Saturday we expect a reaction and should have far too much for them. Let's see what this week brings and then how Saturday goes. I still think we will click and do well this season but we definitely do need to stop making things more difficult for ourselves at times.
  6. Let's enjoy the last time these two teams met in Airdrie again.....
  7. A very favourable Challenge cup draw indeed. Home to East Kilbride FC. Never liked them since their investors cooked my cousin.
  8. You are in the east stand opposite the main stand. Tickets just on sale details attached.
  9. I was confused as the away kit was red with a black diamond and third kit the violet and navy one both far from sectarian or controversial in any way . Just as I thought it was a lame attempt for a bite and I bit a little.
  10. Can't see us being five up at half time this time for sure. I can see this being one of those big games that we turn it on again at The Spud Siro and fancy an Airdrie 3-1 win.
  11. Really good performance yesterday and looked far more composed on the ball. MOTM was Chris Mochrie who has been looking far more like the excellent wee player we know he can be over the past few weeks and yesterday was his best game in a Diamond by far and he deserved his goal and was unlucky with the one of the post. Delighted for him. Also was impressed again by Terrell Agyemang in midfield, Controls the game and has a lot about him. Cracking wee player. Only gripe was Ben Wilson not getting a goal, No gripe with him as he was trying his hardest and was unlucky on a few occasions, Just need to get that wee mini drought over for him and I think having his wee pal McGregor back will help in this matter. We needed a performance and a few goals and we got that heading into a tougher test with Falkirk and a game I am really looking forward to now.
  12. ‘Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.'” It's the same goals we are losing over the past few weeks, opposition allow the defenders to play about and as soon as the pass goes into the midfielder it's pressed fast and hard forcing the error and overloading us. Thankfully a few players showed some fight and in particular the ones off the bench to get us back into the game and an enforced system change made all the difference with the two two up top. Could be a massive point and hopefully the start of a better run of results again.
  13. From what I have heard we are only really looking at loan market now, One familiar face apparently close to a loan, but don't see anything happening tonight in terms of a signing . A lot of rumours been flying about including a possible move for Ryan Jack so clearly some are a bit extravagant indeed.
