  1. Congratulations to the board for everything they are doing at this time.  Showing we are a true Community Club.

Hope our efforts are repaid by the community  when football restarts in terms of crowd attendance. Would be nice if some the club have helped come along to our games.

At times when clubs and boards are  critisised our board should be applauded for their efforts.

Next step would be setting up a bank account where supporters can make a donation to help keep the club going.

  2. On a Thursday I go shopping for a few things - generally Lidl, Farmfoods and Asda. Today I have never seen anything like it. Lidl - all shelves emptied of pasta, soups and tinned veg the csashier told me that they had 4 tills open until 8pm last night instead of 1..  Farmfoods - most of the freezers empty.  Asda - carpark mobbed and many empty shelves. Spoke to a member of staff who told me that all week they have been queuing from 7am waiting for the shop to open at 8am and there is generally about 100 people waiting for the doors to open then it is a mad stampede.

Goodness knows what these clowns would do in a real crisis.

Absolutely fucking ludicrous that the Police are charging people in connection with the incident at the Copenhagen goal. Ridiculous in the first place that the policeman is running at a footballer who has just scored and manhandling him in the middle of a celebration, especially when he’s running towards his own fans.  No wonder his teammate pushes him out of the way. Hopefully this nonsense gets treated with the contempt it deserves

The cop that got knocked over had braid on his hat so had to be  an Inspector at the very least.  Made to look a twat in front of his troops - no other course of action for him to take - what an idiot.

It used to be the case if you committed an offence at the football you were a custody for court the next day. Did the Copenhagen player get arrested after the game ?

  4. Apparently Irons blamed Cook for both goals against Brechin, the first was a corner he took which did not get past the first man and the keeper hoofed it up the park and Wilson missed the header and back of the net. The second one was the ball that everyone thought was out , Cook missed the first tackle but there were three or four defenders behind him but he still got blamed for it.  Cook approached Irons at training about it but was still blamed so asked to leave and this was granted.

His decision to let Marsh go has also cost the club a fair sum of money in paying off his contract. There is a further development to this which will come out later.

Don’t think you can say Edinburgh didn’t deserve that over the 90 minutes but no doubt what the critical moment was. Munro’s header off the face of the crossbar, and before you know it the ball is up the other end and it’s 1-1.

Some more encouragement this afternoon, but if we keep conceding two goals every week then we are going to be in real danger. Interesting to see what the defence looks like next week with Munro suspended.

That indeed was the critical point of the game. After that it went to rat shit. Munro sent off for being an idiot.  Irons unable to control his mouth. Defence all at sea again, we must play the new signing at left back from now on and put McLaughglin into the midfield in place of Blair to give us a bit of bite with McBrearty.  The decison to take McBrearty off and leave a midfileld with no bite did not make sense either.

Next week will be interesting with Wilson and Armstrong in the centre of the defence or will he put McBrearty in there?

The sad thing is we actually looked a lot better today in the first half before our suicidal tendencies took over

  6. We will see the worth or not of Wilson tomorrow.  Munro, while a great leader, needs to maintain his discipline and not get dragged out of position.  I think we may see better where we are tomorrow and be better placed for the rest of the season says he optimistically but more than likely knowing my predictions a hammering could be on the cards if we concede our usual soft goals.

  7. That about sums it up, although the fall out was at the Penicuik game, and the fact that he had a two match ban for the stamp on the Cowden player.  Sitting on a contract at the moment, and if I were in his shoes,  would not move unless there was an exceptional offer from another club or a satisfactory payout from SFC.  Sad thing is I rate him more defensively than Munro and he is not as gung ho as Munro and can also do a job as a defensive midfielder. I think that Irons does not fancy the two of them in the heart of defence and will standby his captain first and foremost.

when was the last time stenny was able to sign 9 players mid season with more to come there saying

which really shows how poor the summer signings were. David Marsh told he can go if he finds another club - only fly in the ointment is he has not long signed a new contract. Still think he is better than Wilson and Armstrong.  Saturday's game will be interesting.

  9. Summary of our signings so far

Ryan Blair – signed from Swansea in November, extended  to the end of the season

Botti Biabi – signed from Swansea in November, still currently under contract

Jordan Armstrong – signed in November, extended until the end of the season

Jonathon Tiffoney – signed in November, extended until the end of the season

Greig Spence- signed from Arbroath on an 18 month deal

Bob Wilson – signed from Arbroath until the end of the season

Conor McBrearty – signed from St Mirren on loan until the end of the season

Connor McBride – signed from Celtic on loan, extended until the end of the season

Callum Moore - signed from Dundee, on loan to end of season

Out of the above Tiffoney and McBrearty look the part, Biabi has been mainly injured and Spence joined last week. We will see what Moore is like but Wilson looks dodgy and the rest well least said.  Still no left back.

  10. Sad news that Neil has passed away due to a long battle with brain cancer. An astonishing drummer and excellent lyracist he will be sadly missed.  His illness was probably known when the band decided to call it a day. RIP

  11. Interesting signings at this time. Would think he will go to 3 at the back although he now has the option of playing Marsh as a defensive midfielder just in front of the centre halves.  Do not think Armsrtong is up to the task and will probably sit on the bench. Speculation about McGuigan at the moment and given his form so far this season would not be too upset if he left but he has been a great servant to the club but for some reason has been off the boil this year.  If stories are to be believed Anderson has been mouthing about leaving for a while - how true that is I am not sure but he has gone now.

  12. Just watched the highlights and cannot help but wonder how we got nothing out of that with the chances we created and then you see Andy Munro being contantly caught out of position. Failed to track back with the runner for the first goal and then at the second misses a tackle near the halfway line and again fails to track back. A team playing with any confidence would have scored 4 or 5 of the chances.
