Al B
Metallica are a great live band, the ronseal of stadium rock. Not bought an album since AJFA right enough... You should give it a try, you're missing out on some great stuff.

Ira Gaines
Gave Anathema's new album a shot, and it's my first real go at the band, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed.

I'm really enjoying it too, not very metal it has to be said though. Lee Douglas' vocals are just superb as usual. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RovU9z_eAdg

Their early stuff means they'll always have that link to metal regardless. Can't wait to see them at the ABC2 in September.

Can't wait to see them at the ABC2 in September. Very much a metal band early on, but a consistently great band for some time now. DomDom, try "We're Here Because We're Here", "Falling Deeper" or "Weather Systems" for more great stuff, all with great vocals from Lee. They were awesome at Download this year and I wouldn't miss the ABC gig for anything.
rustyarabnuts
Never seen Metallica live, wasn't really into them before, but watched them(red buttonon Beeb) with my son and they were fuckin amazing!!!! Totally owned Glasto, watched Kasabian closing the festival and although I quite liked them, they were absolute pants in comparison to messers Ulrich et al !
Dunning1874
Just realised Opeth's ABC gig is the same night as Poland v Scotland. Missing Opeth is a dreadful state of affairs.
George Parr
Purchased a Mastodon ticket this morning for the Academy in November. Will be delighted if we get a run through of their new album. Really enjoying it.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
Pearl Jam produced one of the greatest gigs I have ever seen in Milton Keynes last night. Utterly, utterly brilliant.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
Pearl Jam are the best live band I have ever seen. Not metal though chief We're a broad church I like rock and metal, so lazily lump them all in together.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
I've seen them many times, but this was the best yet, and I get harder to please as I get older.

Rabinho
Where you seen them? I considered Milton Keynes but they've played Scotland twice in all the years they've been going so they can suck my balls for forking out going to Milton Keynes.Obviously not metal but the floodgates are open.Saw them last week in Leeds, wonderful gig, by no means my favourite band but excellent show. Also saw them in 95 at Reading with Neil Young. Edited July 17, 2014 by Rabinho
