Chris
Not long back from Milan. Fantastic trip, incredible to see so many Scotsmen, Duomo square was some sight before we all decamped to the Tartan Tent. B) Saw the now infamous Berwick/Stranraer flag in the square, apparently handed over at high noon! Met loads of great lads and lasses, a big bunch of St Johnstone fans especially, with a wee 5 year old who was getting taken to the San Siro for his birthday! Also had some good banter with Raith fans, and fans from every other Scottish team it seemed (notably not the OF though! ) We drank the Supermarketo Fresco or whatever it was called dry of beer, had a generally great time in the square, and in the Tartan Tent, despite the rain, more great times were had. Great backing from the fans at the games, showed the hoolies how to support a team. Wonderful atmosphere, great stadium, if ageing a wee bit now perhaps. Performance was as good as could be expected without 3 of our best players. Smith had certainly imposed some organisation about them, defence was solid, Ferguson and Quashie were both excellent in the middle, and everyone fought hard for the jersey. Things like tactics, organisation and determination had been sadly lacking under Berti, so this game augurs well for the future, although there remains a lot of work to be done undoubtedly. I was proud to be a Scotsman at the end of the game last night - even the Italian players and fans stayed behind to clap us, and we sang for a good half hour after the game had finished. Just didn't get the wee breaks we needed in the game perhaps, dodgy-looking free-kick at a bad time, great save from Buffon from Quashie, and if only Miller had copied his finish against Germany at Hampden. Still, all-in-all, a great weekend out and not too bad a weekend at all football-wise. Any negative pish - keep it for the other threads.

joozy
Tartan tent was pish but apart from that a great time was had. So many highlights. Great banter with the rest of the TA. If anyone knows who the Caley fan was who insisted on singing "There's only one Stuart Golabek/Ross Tokely/Grant Munro" for about an hour non-stop in the Blackfriars Bar is post it here! The man was hilarious.

MIFTHEBINO
Just back last night at about 11pm and there was only a handful of TA left in the square yesterday. Atmoshphere was amazing, especially the do-a-deer that lasted about 20 minutes of the second half. The singing afterwards was also amazing. The Square was superb on match day and on the Sunday night.I sat under the waiter served tents next to the Cathedral on both nights. Best song of the trip-started by a Bino on the morning of the game, "Deep fry yer pizza,we're gonna deep fry yer pizza, deep fry yer pizza..."
