ICTChris
Keane fined after substitute fury Arnesen issues Keane warning Robbie Keane's future at Tottenham is in doubt after Spurs confirmed he had been hit with a £10,000 club fine and made to train with the reserves. Keane was carpeted by boss Martin Jol for his reaction at not being brought on as a substitute against Birmingham. A Spurs' spokesman told BBC Sport: "We can confirm Robbie was fined, but have no further comment to make." Keane, 24, has struggled to hold a starting place since the arrivals of Jermain Defoe and Egypt's Mido. The Irish international has been linked with a move to Premiership rivals Everton. Keane was signed from Leeds for £7m in August 2002 and made a big impact at White Hart Lane. But he has been forced to play second fiddle to England striker Defoe, while the capture of Mido and the return to full fitness of Frederic Kanoute has stiffened competition for places at White Hart Lane. Spurs boss Jol took action after Keane showed dissent towards him as he stormed down the tunnel at Birmingham. Apparently Keane and SImon Davies could be heading to Everton in the summer now. Guest Lisbon_Lion
Well, this is a golden chance for the Celtic board. Two top class striker up for sale and the type of player we need. Keane is a Celtic fan and will jump at the chance of joining Celtic and Bellamy has said he wants to stay. Although, Keane and Beattie for Everton would be a excellent pairing. Neither Bellamy nor Keane will be anywhere near Glasgow next season, but hold on for the inevitable "Celtic made the best offer they could" excuse. RiG
There will be no shortage of EPL clubs wanting Keane. Would expect Aston Villa to make a bid also. Anyway, Darren Dods would have him in his back pocket!
