What Odds Do You Think You Will Get Greetna At?

Remember walking into the bookies in mid July last year and seeing them at EVENS to win the 3rd - I went back in the next evening and they were already in to 8/11.

What odds do you think they will be to win a much better and more competitive 2nd Division??

My guess 7/4??

Biggest price i saw was 11/10 Venga. I couldnt get on due to me being limited to the high street. Peterhead were 9/2 at the start too (e/w 1/4 odds 1-2-3)

I never backed either though as i thought the league was gonna be tighter than it was :(

Took the 9/1 on Brechin in September and the 13/2 on Falkirk mind.

Here's an old thread before the season were i was described as 'punterslounge dole scum, the guys a perv and a care bayr united fan' :lol

Sorry back on topic i reckon you'll get 2/1 on them in places. Prob more as the bookies will overevaluate Partick's chances and i suppose they got to be in with a shout.

What i think the bookies will go for whilst remembering this is not how i would value their respective changes would be-

Gretna 2/1

Partick 9/4

Stranraer/Morton 6/1

Raith 13/2

Stirling 16/1

Peterhead 18/1

Ayr 20/1

Alloa 28/1

Forfar 33/1

Dumbarton/Arbroath 40/1

I dont know how to work out 'book' percentages etc so its prob well out.

EDIT:Maybe the top 2 a little shorter

I took 6/4 at the start of this season on us winning the league. I imagine the odds for next season will maybe be a bit higher guessing around 3/1 maybe even 4/1 either way I will be putting my original £100 stake from this season on us winning the second division

I'd love to know where you got 6/4, I had to make do with 11/10 :o

If there is 3/1 or 4/1 next time, got to be a good bet, but I'd guess Gretna will go off at about 6/4, depending on their transfer dealings

487572[/snapback]

Simple it is divisible into 100 i.e

6/4 =40%

2/1 =33.3%

3/1 = 25%

9/1 =10%

so in a four team /horse race at prices above would equal = 108.3%
