thehoss
If no one wanted him, I would take him back for 3rd and 1 situations. We definitely need to draft someone that can be elusive and catch the ball though. Ellington (Clemson), Gillislee (Florida) and Franklin (UCLA) are all later round players that I like to fill that role and share the load with Bilal Powell. Isn't there some dude from Alabama supposed to be decent for the draft
thehoss
A RB that is. Excuse my college player ignorance.
GingerSaint
Isn't there some dude from Alabama supposed to be decent for the draft Yeah. He is more of an Adrian Peterson type back - I'm not saying he's as good as AP. He's likely to go in late Round 1/early Round 2 and won't be available when we pick at 41. Matt Barkley not throwing at the Combine. Reportedly not medically cleared.

If he plummets, then that'll probably do him good, get him a chip on his shoulder. Then his talent should shine with significantly less hype

Then his talent should shine with significantly less hype There's no doubt he can run over men and create big plays. My concern is that he played behind the best O Line in College Football (seriously, all 5 will be starters in the NFL) and already had 4 yards before contact at times. EDIT: Wait, are we talking Lacy or Barkley? Edited February 18, 2013 by GingerSaint

Is that too much to spend on him?
GingerSaint
Who do the jets take at 9 then? Is that too much to spend on him? Yeah, that's too high for me. We need to go OLB to get pressure on the QB. Dion Jordan (Oregon) is 6'7" and versatile. He can rush, cover and man up against the TE. I like him a lot and he will help Rex Ryan's scheme with his ability to do anything. Edited February 18, 2013 by GingerSaint

thehoss
Interesting, pats don't pay him 11mil or so. Could they get Wallace for less than that?
Sloop John B
There is talk of them trading for Percy Harvin.

lichtie23
If Welker doesn't get a deal in Boston then he will get some decent money elsewhere. I'm thinking maybe Tampa or even Pittsburgh
thehoss
I have no doubt he gets a deal somewhere. But if your the steelers do you pay welker the 10mil and let Wallace go? Or try and convince Wallace he won't get more than what steelers are offering in free agency?
lichtie23
What's Welker now? 33? He shouldn't be demanding $10 million a year
thehoss
Think that's what he got this season around 10 mil maybe. Yeah he's like 32-33 But does a lot, special teams etc.

SuperCaleyGoBallistic
I imagine the Dolphins will be in for at least one of Welker, Jennings or Wallace. A WR is our main priority this off-season, badly needed. Edited February 18, 2013 by SuperCaleyGoBallistic

SuperCaleyGoBallistic
I don't like Jennings this year. Imagine hartline and welker together! Amazing. It'd be great. Think a good quality WR will also aid Tannehill and give him more passing options. Provided we sign the right players I think Tannehill can come good this year.
