topcat(The most tip top)
You are clearly a vexatious pedant. Good point well made. At least we're focussing on things that matter Ireland set the USA a target of 147 in Belfast and then dismissed them for exactly 100 apparently sparking wild celebrations across the city

Ned Nederlander
I don't think knowing things about a friends is so strange , particularly if you are close . Most people probably know most of their close friends background, religion ,sexuality , politics and football team . If they have never popped up yous probably are not that close The conversation would probably come up in casual conversation about upbringing and childhood, again not really that strange Again, as mentioned elsewhere, I find this notion utterly bizarre. I genuinely couldn't tell you the religion of any of my mates, not one single one of them, it's never come up in any sort of casual conversation. I could tell you their sexuality cause pointing out who you find attractive on a night out is 'normal and, of course , many of them have partners. Football is just a given cause that's the sort of thing folk naturally talk about. In fact I could tell you a great deal about all of them but Religion !? Naw !!

I'm not sure if you're serious. I rented a house for 12 years with some very good mates and I haven't got a clue what religion any of them were - I genuinely and seriously couldn't tell you. I could tell you hunners of things about them and recall many many 'adventures' with them but not what religion they were.

It really is not that strange though is it , particularly if you are good friends or if you have known each other from school chances are you are going to know these things even through simple things such as casual conversation about your upbringing or childhood , I am not sure why people find it so strange that some people know the religion some of their close friends were either brought up in , I am not saying it is essential to know or anything or is important but it is not that strange to know such a simple fact

I have friends I've known for over 30 years, including guys I've shared a house with, and I can honestly say that I have absolutely no idea what religion they are. If that makes me some sort of exception then halle-fucking-lujah.

kerrdavidson95
Drumpellier beat Motherwell in the WDCU Evening League tonight. But in other news I was shocked to see Townhead in deepest, darkest Coatbridge bedecked in Union flags and Rangers tops. Living down south I have completely withdrawn from the Orange Walk calendar and as such I needed reminding of the time of the year.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that you have to know your friends religion but at the same time it isn't as strange as you seem to be making it out to be,I met a guy last week through work and as we were chatting he told me his daughter had her first communion at the end of May in the same church and by the same priest he had his , (we were discussing resteraunts at the time,he had a nice meal in one after it), the point I'm making is that although he didn't actually say he was catholic and I didn't ask I now know that he is through just a casual conversation.

The Gartsherrie Bowling Club has always been quite sympathetic to those who wear sashes.
